I always pray to St. Nicholas the wonderworker whenever I lose something, and I find it in less than five minutes.

One time I was looking for my flashdrive, prayed to St. Nicholas and suddenly found it around my neck. How it got there I cannot say.

That's awesome! I'll have to remember that... I lost my best sweater, and just found it this morning in time for Church this morning. I didn't pray for it, but felt someone was watching out for me, because I found it in a most unlikely place. At least it's been found!

My mother's friend who doctors told her she cant have children, prayed in St Irene Chrysovalandou Monastery in Greece. She had a vision of the saint and sure enough nine months later had a son.

And i love the whole aspect behind St Phanourios life and his bread:

Agios Fanouryios...I love him...I used to live next to a tiny Oh, what do we call them...Like a small church, but in memory of someone. (Lost both languages here) Anyways...we had a neighbor who really had us fooled, and who stole our chairs, and tried to steal our table off of our balcony. I always thanked Agios Fanouryios because I am certain it was he who led us to the truth. I miss going to light a candle there....Although, I greet him regularly at Agia Marina....where he has a special icon there.

Do people bring fanouropites for the priest to bless still in your church? I remember so many ladies making the pita and then we had a feast consuming the cake.... Most of the people wanted St. Fanourios tofind jobs for their children as in Greece the job market is so bad....

Hi True Hope! How are you?

God bless,
Philothei

Glory to God, another wonderful story!

I was recently reading a book about St. Rachael of Borodino Monastery, and she was a great Eldress in her time who had a woman once approach her with a problem. Her problem was that she wasn't able to have children. St. Rachael told her to have a Moleben served for the Mother of God and St. John the Baptist, to give alms to the poor and receive communion. Soon after this lady was obedient to this, she gave birth to a baby girl.

Our son came up shy for his college tuition this year; there was nothing any of us could think to do...

for some reason, St. Basil came to mind (or heart, actually)...

my son composed a letter to the FAid office explaining his situation -- and amazingly, they awarded him an additional scholarship (he was on almost complete aid already).

Thank-you, St. Basil for your prayers :)

Oh yes. They do!

I am fine, how are YOU??? In fact, the other day we were driving through....Ooooh, where were we...all these LONG Greek names to remember...LOL. anyways, they celebrated Agios Fanouryios, and you should have seen the line of women with their pitas and cakes. My Mother-in-Law brought a bunch of pieces over the other day, she made it...we did not. lol.

I could read these stories forever! I especially love the pregnancy stories. A friends sister prayed to St. Michael and went to Mitilini to a special monastery there, she said not only did the icona come alive before her, she went home and had a dream with Archangel Michael who told her she would have a child.. She had been trying for years, and nothing. She had taken a test soon before going to the monastery and it was negative. She woke up from her dream, took a test and was pregnant. She has a gorgeous little girl named Mixaela! Amen!
