1 Corinthians 6:2ff Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers

Many believers (Christians) promote that we as saints are not to judge the world. We know that Christ Jesus via the cross & resurrection manifested that He judged the world of sin and righteousness. This truth is evident. Amen. However, saints today are on this world as lights to the world and as Ambassadors of Christ (in His stead, so to speak); and as a result the Glorified Lord Christ revealed to Paul that we ARE to judge the world, sic, 1 Corinthians 6:2, which clearly points out the proper way in which saints are to judge in this world, seeing how we shall judge angels, we are equipped, therefore, to judge the world and fellow believers in matters weighing from small to large, especially regarding sound doctrines and grace and not following the Law for salvation. We are authorized by the Lord Christ Jesus to judge the world and to do so between brothers and sisters in the Lord; but to do so in a righteous and merciful manner.

We are to judge within the church, we are not instructed to judge those outside, God deals with those, we are to reach out and love the sinner and show them the love of Christ to show them the mercy and grace of God not to be judgemental of them. Sure, we can show by our life and example what a cheistioan is and hopefully it is exactly as Christ would do, not beat them over the head, most know they are sinning and dont need told about it but they do need the love and forgiveness of God

Yes I agree that this 1 Corinthians 6 verse primarily addresses believers within the Church, the Body of Christ members. However, there is a scriptural place to judge outside the Church, ie, lost sinners, buy showing them the love of Christ and God and the free gift of grace apart from works of the law for salvation. When a believer freely loves the outsider by sharing the gospel of grace, that in itself is a judgment that convicts (via the Holy Spirit) that person of sin, of righteousness, of truth regarding Jesus Christ as the Son of God. That conviction is a reproof of that person's false doctrine (eg., Jesus is not the Son of God, there is no God, etc), that this reproof is the righteous judgment by which we 'judge the world' for those that are outside the Church.

2 Timothy 16 3:15,All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works

And there's a reason for that. When the Apostle Paul wrote those words he used the future tense.

Yes, and if you note that at this present time, 2016, we saints today are implementing that 'future tense' today. So Paul's use of future tense words do apply today, since we are future of Paul's 1st century epistles.

In terms of things spiritual, I am not sure of what makes these times, what I am inclined to call the "end times", different from Paul's day. Can you explain?

Saints generally dont say that they are saints do they. Wouldnt that put you in danger of unwanted spiritual energy. The burden already is great on a saint, iv only met one or two but they are masters of camouflage. Saints humbleness and understated natures are never if rarely seen. As far as im concerned keep the saint stuff offline. Forums are full of evil, devil worshippers and lost souls. They are capture points for knowledge. Whilst you may think a god forum is safe, your highly mistaken.

When Christ our Lord and God returns in glory to judge the quick and the dead, and we are in the resurrection of our flesh glorified and perfected in Him, then we can, in and under Christ, judge the world.

But while we are living in the world, as fallible broken sinners, we have precisely no right to judge our neighbor. For with the same judgment we judge with we shall likewise be judged.

The Apostle is speaking of the Eschaton, so no we are not that future tense today.

    Question: Concerning Eschaton.

Are you referring to the following regarding Eschaton?

    [Wiki]
    Christianity
The Lutheran Confessions directly reject the idea of an immanentized eschaton, condemning the belief "that before the resurrection of the dead the godly shall take possession of the kingdom of the world, the ungodly being everywhere suppressed."

The Catechism of the Catholic Church makes an oblique reference to the desire to "Immanentize the Eschaton" in article 676:

The Antichrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgment. The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism, especially the "intrinsically perverse" political form of a secular messianism.

At the end of the 12th century, Joachim of Fiore theorized the coming of an age of earthly bliss right before the end of time. Although not a full immanentization, Joachim has opened the way to an anticipation of the eschaton in the course of time. His ideas have influenced the thoughts on an immanentized eschaton.

1 Cor. 6:3,4,5: Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to THIS LIFE? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to THIS LIFE, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to YOUR shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to JUDGE between HIS BRETHREN.

The Word of God to the saints today clearly exhorts believers to judge between his own brethren.

The verse you reference is from Matthew 7:1 and does not apply to the saints inside God's grace under the apostle to the Gentiles: Paul.

Paul received truthful revelations directly from the resurrected and glorified Lord, the Paul's words outline exactly what the Lord said to him about HIS commandments:

1 Cor 14:37,38: If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I WRITE UNTO YOU ARE THE commandments OF THE Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant (ignorant pertaining to this fact that Paul speaks the Lord's commandments). Therefore, the Lord spoke a NEW commandment in 1 Cor. 6:3,4,5, that fully permits saints to judge others in any matter.

    ViaCrucis,

By the glorified Lord Christ Jesus He appeared to the Apostle Paul for over 14 years and gave these direct words to Paul to people like you who REJECT the Lord Christ's Words, here is the LORDs Word that Paul HAS the commandments of the Lord:

1 Cor. 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
1 Cor. 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
1 Cor 14:28 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant

Jesus raised up PAUL as the NEW apostle sent to the Gentiles TODAY: This is clearly recorded by Paul's very own words: Read Acts 26:12-18:

Acts 26:12 - 18 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet:for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself

Romans 3:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel

These are the EXACT Word by which ALL men will be judged by Jesus Christ according to the Gospel which Christ directly delivered to Paul; that is why Paul In Christ's Words says: "my gospel"

Good luck on the Judgement Seat of Christ for your REJECTION of Christ's WORDS...
