Royal Hours of Christmas

We attended the Royal Hours yesterday. This is an amazing service, very beautiful. We stayed afterward for confession.

I understand now the quote by Fr. Schmemann regarding the Hours, "...one last meditation on the cosmical meaning of the Nativity, on the decisive and radical change it performed in the entire creation."

Yes, I was able to attend and sing this year, and will also be leaving soon for the Vigil. These are such beautiful services!

I'm not long back from Church.

We had to borrow a room so we could have our Services.

We had Vespers at 4pm - wonderful too

then a short break and Liturgy. The place we borrowed was well filled - there must have been 40 there. It was absolutely beautiful.

Then we had a Community meal - everyone has commented how wonderful it was.
