The quoted poster also said: "Not once did I say [Catholics] treat him as God."He didn't say "adoration". He said "unhealthy sinful adoration".
They don't confuse men with God ("as God") they give men glory that is God's.
Flesh brought about schisms and divisions which will continue till the catching away of all true believers to meet Christ in the clouds!
I agree. However, schisms assume the prior existence of a church from which to separate.
Katholikos, Did you at one time go by the name "Terry O'brian" your posting seems familiar. Thanks ..God Bless You!
The Church is the Body of Christ - all believers. Everyone knows that.So then it probably boils down to a difference in definitions of "church" at some point.
Protestant churchs have leaders tee hee.. They have Pastor teachers, elders deacons, but what you are missing here is that we are all held together by the Head of the Church Christ Jesus. No, and I have answered this already. But I see that person is spreading this around.
The Church is the Body of Christ - all believer. Everyone knows that.
The problem comes in where people fail to realize that a body, and body, is both spiritual and physical. A msn is made of body and spirit, The body has arms and leges and hands and moves in a cohesive manner.
Protestants only recognize the spritual aspect of the body of christ but not the physical. The physical body of Christ in the protestant world has NO cohesive function. It is like a bunch of body parts all flailing around on the floor, because they aren divided into denominations with different ruling bodies.
Human beings cannot function in unison with single purpose with leaders to guide it, and thats why Jesus chose leaders, and one leader in particular, Peter. Jesus knew how people behaved. It is the same reason that the founding fathers established a supreme court along with a constitution, because the constitution, as great as it is, would not alone prevent chaos without a ruling body to interpret and enforce it.
Protestant churchs have leaders tee hee..
We have the president.. Christ and His rule is forever.. He don't change His leadersip.. He is head. HE has never stepped down nor will He ever step down.Thats the problem: Many different leaders for many different denominations.. ..tee hee. That is the equivalent of having a hundred presidents of the United States
There is only ONE Body of Christ, and there can only be ONE set of leaders.
We have the president.. Christ and His rule is forever.. He don't change His leadersip.. He is head. HE has never stepped down nor will He ever step down.
I'm talking about on earth, and you know it
He is also the President here on earth..For Christ is not dead..He lives.. He may not be walking the earth in a fleshly Body but He does know and see all that Goes on and still has the Power to predestine what is going to happen.. He is the head of His church that is living here on earth.. This is why He has sent the Holy Spirit. The true Vicar of Christ.
As a Catholic we have to accept that even if it makes no sense.
But in today's world people value personal freedom of view over anything else. But as a Catholic we always have to place God and His church first, even before self and family.
I was referring to the false teachings in Sola Scriptura circles and NOT Catholic teachings. As a Catholic we have to accept that even if it makes no sense.
I was saying God is always first. I will try to keep it more simple in the future. But in today's world people value personal freedom of view over anything else. But as a Catholic we always have to place God and His church first, even before self and family.
\When I said I was referring to the false teachings in Sola Scriptura circles and NOT Catholic teachings.
