That truth is incredibly hard to support, particularly given the hundreds of songs in the rock (style) with overtly Christian lyrics and messages.
30 years ago, my husband worked for the USPO and on the cover of, I think it was a TIME MAGAZiNE, it said, "The Devil's Lyrics for Christian Songs" or something close to that. Even the world, back then, KNEW that the music that was becoming popular amongst Christians was INSPIRED BY SATAN HIMSELF.

I'm probably more old-fashioned than many, but I don't like the modern music sung at most churches - I like old-fashioned HYMNS.

When I read your posts so far, what I see in your responses to requests to support why certain types of music are wrong for the church is to state your musical preference for hymns. You even brought up a remembered example of lyrics (words) to claim that music (notes/meter/instruments) were wrong for the church. Again, I don't think you can biblically support your assertions that
It's either ROCK or it's CHRISTIAN but it's not CHRISTIAN ROCK.
Would you be willing to explain why the lyrics of a hymn played with rock music instruments and styles would be wrong.

What do you think it is a sin to listen rock music and why?

I don't, it's just a question of whether your listening to music or whether your listening to garbage that glorifies the world and the things of it.

But even rap can be good:

Or bad. Same with rock:

So look at what your listening to, and putting in your brain. You are what you eat, as the saying goes.

You don't have to sit and read your Bible 24/7, but you do need to know how to live in accordance to it.

Speaking of old fashioned,

The above is the Phos Hilaron, the oldest Christian hymn still sung in churches today, dated to no later than the 3rd century,

Direct English translation:
O Light gladsome of the holy glory of the Immortal Father,
the Heavenly, the Holy, the Blessed, O Jesus Christ,
having come upon the setting of the sun, having seen the light of the evening,
we praise the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit: God.
Worthy it is at all times to praise Thee in joyful voices,
O Son of God, Giver of Life, for which the world glorifies Thee.

Modern English version by John Keble:
Hail, gladdening Light, of His pure glory poured
Who is the immortal Father, heavenly, blest,
Holiest of Holies, Jesus Christ our Lord!

Now we are come to the sun’s hour of rest;
The lights of evening round us shine;
We hymn the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit divine!

Worthiest art Thou at all times to be sung
With undefiled tongue,
Son of our God, Giver of life, alone:
Therefore in all the world Thy glories, Lord, they own
