Our family's hobby has been robotics using the Lego Mindstorms NXT and competing with the First Lego League, their website is http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/fll and the robot can be found at LEGO Education |

There are robotics competition programs for all school ages, from elementary to high school. I am a coach of a team, and my son is in 6th grade.

Robotics is fun and we love playing with the robot as a hobby. The competitions help kids really take it to another level. I encourage more people to look into it and seeing if you can start a team up in your area. Our local public library started our team up, and a lot of schools including Homeschool groups are starting up new teams every year! Next year's theme is called "Nature's Fury" where kids will think about ways technology can help solve problems with extreme weather. Other themes in the past have been about Food Safety, the Mars Rover, medical technology, etc.

It's awesome fun, like the kids on my team like to say.
We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?
