Riots broke out in migrant neighborhoods in Sweden last night.

People who wanted to make Muslims look bad...

People who wanted to help cover up Trump's faux pas...

The police, who know the community and know the people, aren't willing to say Muslims did it...you are jumping to conclusions...

I said, "I suspect it's the alt-right..." That's what makes the most sense to me, but I'm not sure.

Paranoia and delusion.

Thanks for contributing your unsolicited and unwelcome opinion, which I am choosing to ignore.
You didn't ignore it. You responded.

Thinking the alt-right is setting stuff like this up is paranoia, and it's delusional to think that it was them who did this in a Muslim neighborhood just to help Trump. This line of thought is so bizarre that it could get one a prescription.

I cited the example of the KKK (a predecessor of the alt-right--an umbrella term which includes members of the KKK) going into all-black neighborhoods burning crosses, breaking windows, and even lynching and hanging residents.

Since KKK members are part of the alt-right, perhaps the most extreme members of an already extreme group, why do you think there aren't nationalistic extremists in Sweden?

And I said that the police had not come to a conclusion or made arrests, and neither had I--I just suspected the alt-right was more likely to be the culprits.

I am shaking my head over this thread. Trump is obviously a liar who said something stupid (okay, a lot of things stupid) that his supporters need to directly call him on, and there is no evidence suggesting that these rioters, small as the riot may have been (I think I read 75 people?), were planted. What is wrong with everyone? Why are Trump supporters not vocally demanding that he recant his errant statement, and why aren't Swedes demanding that their "migrants" behave better?

'Trump was RIGHT!'

Go ahead and continue shaking your heads ^_^

Ugh, this is old news. President Trump lied when he blamed these people for a spat of criminal activity before it occurred. Further, it was dishonest of him to suggest that some how immigrants make Sweden a dangerous place to live. Compared to the United States (and who else should the President of the United states compare it to?), it is not. Even with the scary, scary Muslims.

We all live in this dimension where Thursday Feb 23rd is not old news.

That's the problem, you see. We live in this dimension, where inconvenient news is both old and fake.

This isn't inconvenient news, it details an event that happened after President Trump claimed there was a spat of crime. On November 7th, 1941, had President Roosevelt claimed that the Japanese launched an attack on Pearl Harbor he would have been lying. after they attacked on Dec 7, it wouldn't be correct to claim that he was right.

I hope you'll be thorough enough to compare violent crime rates between the United States and Sweden instead of being dismissive.

I love to see the squirming that takes place on the left when inconvenient news happens

Trump Is Right: Sweden’s Embrace of Refugees Isn’t Working
The country has accepted 275,000 asylum-seekers, many without passports—leading to riots and crime.
By Jimmie Åkesson and Mattias Karlsson

Per Jimmie Akesson and Mattias Karlsson, both leaders of the Sweden Democrats, penned a Wall Street Journal op-ed on Wednesday supporting Trump’s characterization of a Muslim immigrant-led crime crisis in Sweden.

“Mr. Trump did not exaggerate Sweden’s current problems,” Akesson and Karlsson wrote. “If anything, he understated them.”

“Riots and social unrest have become a part of everyday life,” Akesson and Karlsson wrote. “Police officers, firefighters and ambulance personnel are regularly attacked. Serious riots in 2013, involving many suburbs with large immigrant populations, lasted for almost a week. Gang violence is booming. Despite very strict firearms laws, gun violence is five times as common in Sweden, in total, as in the capital cities of our three Nordic neighbors combined.”

They added: “Anti-Semitism has risen. Jews in Malmo are threatened, harassed and assaulted in the streets. Many have left the city, becoming internal refugees in their country of birth.”

“For the sake of the American people,” Akesson and Karlsson wrote, “with whom we share so many strong historical and cultural ties, we can only hope that the leaders in Washington won’t make the same mistakes that our socialist and liberal politicians did.”

I'm sorry but your statement is incorrect. The KKK was a predecessor to the democrat party. History books are fun.

European countries are losing their identity as Sweads. Finland, England, French. Australia has problems too. Your Pope, your Bishops are wrong to think countries can sustain the economic and cultural impact of letting so many Muslims into their countries. Afghanistan refugees raped a Sweadish woman live on Facebook. Your Pope and Bishops should understand what they ask citizens to risk. I don't think Jesus likes that.

People agree with the Pope and some Bishops on this issue because it fits their personal politics. I'd be impressed if these people followed the Pope and Bishops in ALL that they teach.

P.S. Notice the topic has now changed^_^
