Where did you learn that idea?
I think it was in church and it was in direct relationship to bible reading. Much more has been made of this than was intended. This place seems to be much more dysfunctional than most given the reactions I am getting. It is like people are expecting something.

If it was at church then who at church gave you this idea? Was this person an educator? Or theologian? You will note that none of the writers in the Bible, in your words, "pulled this stunt."

That's because on the web we are used to people coming in and doing weird things (anything unusual is automatically "wierd") to get their agenda across. And in some cases, it doesn't take long for us to size some people up and they now have "a history" of what we can expect from them. Like when you tried to tell me that I should read the text on PI=3 claim when I had already done so a decade ago.

when i first came here I wondered how so many people had thousands of posts. Now im starting to see how some of them get so high. I don't want to be rude but how hard is it to keep the back to back posts to a minimum. This forum is getting more and more unorganized.
that would be called a descent into chaos.....

And here you do it. If you take the time to read that post again you may find that it did not happen the way you just described. I never set out to ask you to read the text on PI=3.

I was a kid so I don't recall. That aside. The only reason I tried to explain the rationale was because I had made a duplicate post. Instead of leaving a blank post I decided to insert some relevant text. You guys amaze me with the things that excite you. Whatever floats your boat.

Reading the Bible backwards reminds me of those who listen to tapes backwards to hear secret messages. Generally (But not always), all they here is noise which their subcouncious puts into the message that they claim to hear.

I admit that occasionally someone puts a message like that, but where in the Bible (or even EGW) is there any suggestion that this is the case?

It definitely won't give you the same messages as reading the texts in the proper order.

That would make it worse because many of the posts are responding to different people. And sometimes some people make many different claims all in one post and then when they repsond they invariably clip stuff and now you really can't tell what is going on. I agree that it can get confusing sometimes. I've dropped out of some threads precisely because of that. It's too bad that it can't be threaded--but, then you run into a different problem. The thread scrolls off too far to the right!

Define "set out"? You may not have intended to do that when you started. But, when I remarked that it doesn't say that you told me to go read the text.
I'm glad you got it straight. If you had read the text or understood what I had said you would not have said what you did. I chose one.

Again with the curiousity.... Still new here....

Just wondering if this is special treatment for Senti or if I should expect the same....

Where is the love?

I mean..... WOW......

Am I too nieve? I did not see any "ill" intnet in trying to start something "different"....

Yes, I would be curious to know what IS the point?

At the same token it just comes across as mean....

I mean, goodness, is he guilty until proven innocent?

I suppose I just am too generous with the love huh?

im talking more so about the first page of this thread where something that could have been put in one post was divided into sentence-posts where you have to go past the first page just to even get to the first response. I can see the need for some types of double posting, but not stuff like that. There's no reason to separate every single verse into a different post. I'm not so concerned about trying to ironfist what can and can't be talked about in this forum, but I feel that there should be moderators in place who keep people from things that cause disorganization like this.

Yeah, this was definitely a strange thread. Not that it has improved any ...
