I've tried to track down what this is based on. AOC seems to have talked about Cruz' support of the election fraud lie, on the grounds that this lie motivated the mob, and at least some in the mob did seem to intend to kill members of Congress. Does that justify saying "you almost had me murdered?" Not exactly. But then AOC has never been the most reasonable of Democrats.

My goodness! We just recently experienced Democratic members of Congress openly calling themselves Socialists, endorsing the 'Democratic Socialists of America' organization, and hardly any prominent Democratic official has spoken out with any force against Antifa, a Marxist organization of longstanding. How much more do you need, my friend, in order to admit that Marxism has found support within one of our two major political parties?!
It's funny seeing them dust off this old smear, much like their newfound fear of deficits. Deficits were great when it came to tax cuts, but now it's the scariest thing. I think one of the reasons they are trying hard to run away from stories like this is because they want a "return to normalcy" where they accuse others of extremism while codifying radicals on their side of the political spectrum. Before, they never gave these extremists power, but as the base of the GOP has eroded under Trump, the extremists have become the rule as opposed to the exception. Nonetheless, the usual forces now wish to distract from this because they still want to embrace these elements in hopes of recapturing power in 2022 and 2024.
Oh, I know full well that any reference to Marxism will be struck down by people who say that Marxism means just being nice to other people or that it's something that happened in the USSR long ago but doesn't exist anywhere near us these days. Excuses of that sort.
Of course the same people are not reluctant to claim that Trump is a Nazi. THEN the same need for excruciating exactness in labelling doesn't mean a thing.
But when the evidence is clear, as perhaps was not always the case but has been lately--and I identified some of it for you in my post--it speaks for itself.
That would excuse her for saying Cruz tired to murder her after all false claims of attempted murder are nothing to be concerned about, Right? , but if a Rep said anything like that, would the Dems be so dismissive?
And if the Dems find nothing to critize in the riots of last year maybe we should be asking why they encourage, murder, assault, arson, property damage, looting etc. by the way the attack on a federal building in Portland is acceptable but an attack on the Capitol is not, that double standard needs to be considered as well. Either you accept and condone attacks on federal building or you dont, the left just needs to decide what their values are and then be consistent.
