You will find that where it exists is mainly in those countries with a 'Christian' heritage.

Diversity of religious beliefs are why we have freedom of religion; which is a major part of secularism and democracy. Not sure it can be separated from both as it's vital to each.

In the USA, USConst. , Amendment 1, guarantees the "free exercise" of "religion" and prevention of the State from imposing a "national" religion.

It and "free speech" and "right to assemble" are our most cherished and protected rights!!

Christians will differ on this issue, I suspect. I am among those who would like to see different religions get along with one another. However, I also believe in common sense and protecting ourselves. There are those who would like to kill all Christians.
