Thank God Somchi’s neighbours in Laos have stopped persecuting her family because they now recognise the family are kind and contribute to the community. Hers is one of only three Christian families in the village.
Praise God that persecuted Christian Somchi in Laos can now see God’s plan for her life: she was rejected by her family at 17 but now, at 25, she has a Christian husband. ‘Looking back at everything that has happened to me, I see God’s love and God’s plan,’ she says.
Pray that the Christian couple from Laos in yesterday’s prayer and their young son will remain strong in their faith and be a powerful witness to their animist neighbours.
A young Christian couple in Laos chose to stay in their village despite facing persecution which has caused many other villagers to abandon the Christian faith. Officials destroyed the couple’s home – but they have remained. Praise God that officials have now allowed them to stay.

Pray for a Christian family in Laos who were forced to move to another part of Luang Prabang city, a popular tourist destination, because of their faith. They were also fined the equivalent of £300 for practising their faith.
Ask God to encourage His people in Laos, a mainly Buddhist nation where Christianity is viewed as a ‘Western ideology’ and its followers are considered foreign agents.
