All misguided by the first ones, sad to say...What they, and most people don't realize is that the Church has been in a state of constant reformation for 2000 years. It is true that, at the time of the Reformation, it was still in need of reformation, but the Church was already in Reformation. As can be seen in modern day Catholic Church, it takes decades for changes to manifest themselves. If you look at what Vatican I and II did, and see where we stand in relation, you'll see.
What's sad is that Luther had no idea what he was talking about, and had no intention of ripping the Church apart. He, a Catholic, found a Catholic doctrine in a Catholic book.Good day, Jesse
Classic modern day roman church dripple...
Sad indeed!

We do follow Jesus and his representative, the Pope. To whom Jesus gave the power to bind and loose, as a prime minister. So, instead of following men in any group,
follow Jesus.
He is the GOOD SHEPHERD, and is willing to teach and train the disciples who ARE HIS. (perhaps not anyone ongoing willingly and willfully in any sin, including idolatry or roman church dribble? anywhere) ...
That's what tradition says, and what you are always told, and thus what you post reflects that.We do follow Jesus and his representative, the Pope. To whom Jesus gave the power to bind and loose, as a prime minister.

Of course, you assume that I'm a cradle Catholic, and that is false. I used to be Evangelical, and came to see the truth of Peter's call to lead the Church IN THE BIBLE. I wasn't taught it, either, I was led to it by the Holy Spirit. That's what tradition says, and what you are always told, and thus what you post reflects that.
Look in the Bible! Read the Bible - it definitely does not agree with what you posted nor with what you were (apparently) taught.
No, the Holy Spirit told me that. And I believe 100% of what the Holy Spirit says.Ya the pope told you that... did he not?
Were you taught, do not believe every thing you hear and about half of what you see?

follow Jesus.

Try as you might, you can't escape following the thoughts of other men and women. Your advice is quite literally impossible to follow.[/QUOTE

RIGHT!
One step to knowing the TRUTH as JESUS says. (not as men say). As it is written: with men it IS IMPOSSIBLE, ......
go figure.... since it is impossible with man, don't trust man.... seek YHWH !
with YHWH all things are possible. Salvation is in Him, not in man....
Oh, sorry- it is not traceable except to the Father in heaven, and Scripture.
Whatever
you know about anything else is not related.
You can't escape trusting men in reading the bible.
I will note that these words are man made and therefore are lies. And yet, I did.
Jesus Praised His Father
that The Father in heaven reveals the truth about everything concerning Salvation in this life and in the life to come,
the Father Who Grants Freely from Heaven understanding of Scripture,
including that Yeshua is HaMashiahc, son of YHWH in the flesh (yes, only by revelation can this be revealed, from the Father in heaven)...
TRUST YHWH?
With men it is impossible.
Look at what was taught before the schism and compare to what is taught by each a century after the schism. See who changed and who remained the same.Who were the proto Protestants, the first Protestants...the Eastern Orthodox denomination or the Roman Catholic?

Though in retrospect, I don't think proto Protestant is really the correct term to describe either. One remained steadfast in the faith while the other took a different path.
