Apparently, some also wanted to distance themselves from the actions of the Red Hen owner and requesting people not punish the town as a result of the conduct of one person. A business owner has the right to refuse service to a person whose political beliefs they disagree with and find repulsive. However, such conduct can be perilous and lead to undesirable consequences.
