I love that shot of the flower! And those IR shots are amazing, too!
Here is one I took a couple weeks ago of a Messerschmitt Bf-109E-3 Emil with it's engine cowling removed for inspection with a Focke-Wulf 190A-5 in the background.
Great color and detail, as always, Boss_BlueAngels. Cam P, I think your first shot is works better than the second. The first just feels good to look at, while the cut-off trees in the second make me want to see either more or less in the frame.
Here are some more landscapey shots from last year, all involving water in some way.
The first two I took at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, when I was there for a conference: DSC_6536 by Steve Schaffner, on Flickr
A couple taken while snowshoeing (well, mostly microspiking actually, but that doesn't sound as good) in New Hampshire last weekend. Point-and-shoot for this trip.
I'm currently learning my new camera... but soon I will go to Disney and maybe I'll make some good shots
Here's a backyard shot of Caleb in his PJs (when it's cold outside)... He actually hiding, or I think he thinks he is hiding because he goes there sometimes when I call him to go into the house with me. He used to be very small of course, and he could hide behind that tree (though in 5 years, it's grown some too.)
Here are two from a recent visit to my local WWII aircraft collection. Both shots are of a North American P-51D Mustang undergoing its annual maintenance in preparation for the 2012 flying season.
