CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Living 8 (9?) years with a 1970 kitchen has inspired a remodel. We bought the house with the intention of doing one pretty quick. But, my shoulder injury and resulting precarious future as a computer geek put the plans on hold. Then we started making plans again about 2 years ago, but got sidetracked with other stuff. Good thing, because we've changed our minds LOTS about most of the details.
Now, we want to press on and get it done, once and for all. Because there's a lot of other changes that are waiting until the kitchen decisions are made. Replacing the floors. Redoing the bathrooms (all 3 of them). Replacing some furniture that have been kitty scratching posts just a little too often...

Yeah...I have to keep my attention on small bits of it or I get overwhelmed. I'm trying to ejumakate myself on granite countertops and appliances right now.
