To get into the mind of rabbinical statements and theology in its tradition, you have to understand that
It is to Jerusalem that the Messiah will come and
Notice that the Messiah will come and do the teaching of all nations to live under God's Law.

The prerequisite to the glorious future envisioned by Judaism is the rebuilding of their temple and a king, of the lineage of David, sitting upon the throne in Jerusalem. It is not a handful of visionaries only, but leading and influential (and well-funded) men who are preparing to rebuild the third Temple when given the opportunity. Rabbi Chaim Richman, of the Temple Institute, proclaimed that the members of the Institute wished to remove the Dome of the rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque so that the Temple of Solomon could be rebuilt... according to their plans, the Third Temple will be built. And to serve the Temple they are training priests in the Temple tradition of blood sacrifice... All the required implements, dishes, and other objects are also being created as the funds become available. Many Protestant groups have joined in this effort because they see it also a piece of the theological apocalyptic puzzle that must happen.

How we see the end days being fulfilled, is how we relate to it and which position we stand on the great stage of the last days. I am with Yeshua on this matter, "when you see all these things drawing close, look up". The belief that Jerusalem is crucial to the fulfillment of apocalyptic prophecies has caused this focused attention from all three major religions and all governmental nations fingers in what happens. It has become the center of this firestorm. But I have to ask.. Is that where Yeshua wants us to focus in on. I can see it as a sign of the times. But I do not believe I am to be drawn up into its arguments as Yeshua wants me to focus on my personal relationship with Him, and not be "religiously" or politically motivated at my eternal expense.

When Yeshua was on earth, His followers were looking for precisely what is now being promised in this end-time scenario... Israel as a world-dominant power, crushing all of her enemies, with God's help. The priests and rulers of Yeshua’s day first sought Him in hopes that He would lead the Israelites to victory over the hated Romans. Many, like Judas, quickly rejected Him when they realized that He had no such intentions.

I think the key is found in what Yeshua said... Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

And in this is telling us, unless it is formed in us, it will not come...no matter what end stage performances in the religious or political arena that man comes up with.

And the Gentiles are trampling it under foot. The understanding of what you first wrote is the thesis of why Jerusalem is a trembling cup. It is the seat of G-d and you know who doesn't want him sitting there.

The Pope wants to sit there, and the Muslims he is being friendly with are there to prevent any Jews from preparing the way of the L-RD to reign there.

Lord said that all eyes will upon Jerusalem.. it is all setting the last scenes of earth to be played out... Three times a year we are to go to Jerusalem... Two of them have already have gone from rehearsal to memorial.... only one left... May we all prepare for our Lord to come and reign.

In 2012 Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Shmuley Boteach published the book Kosher Jesus, which, while not accepting Yeshua as the Messiah, takes a non-hostile approach to Yeshua, seeking to reclaim Yeshua as a Jewish sage of the Second Temple Era.

Now a group of Orthodox Rabbinic Jews are working toward a retrial of Yeshua before this Rabbinic Sanhedrin. Its being called The Official Jesus Anathema Removal Project. Ariel Cohen Alloro, an Orthodox Jewish priest is building a team to bring a formal petition to the Rabbinic Sanhedrin in Jerusalem, Israel. This attempt at a retrial of Yeshua is being undertaken by Orthodox Rabbinic Jews who believe that Yeshua was falsely accused.

Orthodox Jewish scholar Daniel Boyarin wrote a book "The Jewish Gospels; The Story of the Jewish Christ". This book also takes a non-hostile approach to Yeshua and his original Jewish followers. Daniel Boyarin is not only a noted historian of religion, he has also been called "one of the two or three greatest rabbinic scholars in the world." He holds dual United States and Israeli citizenship. Trained as a Talmudic scholar, in 1990 he was appointed Professor of Talmudic Culture, Departments of Near Eastern Studies and Rhetoric, University of California, Berkeley, a post which he still holds.

Boyarin opens his book with some very interesting words:

There is coming QUICKLY a day when those who profess they believe in Messiah will have to choose whom they will serve. We today, are witnessing the end of the age of the gentile. As more and more Jews come to accept Yeshua as their Messiah and they become zealous for the Law (you know, like what is described in Acts) the remaining gentile believers are going to be forced to look at their practices of ignoring the Torah of G-d and will be forced to choose where they stand.... with G-d and his Torah or their traditions of man.

Good, I agree, that is a great key! However it is prophesied that Yerushalaim and its people shall first have received double before her warfare, calamities, and hard service are ended:

    Yirmeyahu 16:9-18 (ISR 1998)
    9. For thus said יהוה of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, “See, before your eyes and in your days, I am making the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride to cease in this place.
    10. “And it shall be, when you declare to this people all these words, and they shall say to you, ‘Why has יהוה pronounced all this great evil against us? And what is our crookedness, and what is our sin that we have committed against יהוה our Elohim?’
    11. then you shall say to them, ‘Because your fathers have forsaken Me,’ declares יהוה, ‘and have walked after other mighty ones and served them and bowed themselves to them, and have forsaken Me, and did not guard My Torah.
    12. ‘And you have done more evil than your fathers, for look, each one walks according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me.
    13. ‘So I shall throw you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers. And there you shall serve other mighty ones day and night, where I show you no favour.’
    14. “Therefore see, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when it is no longer said, ‘יהוה lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ĕl from the land of Mitsrayim,’
    15. but, ‘יהוה lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ĕl from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I shall bring them back into their land I gave to their fathers.
    16. “See, I am sending for many fishermen,” declares יהוה, “and they shall fish them. And after that I shall send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
    17. “For My eyes are on all their ways; they have not been hidden from My face, nor has their crookedness been hidden from My eyes.
    18. “And first I shall repay double for their crookedness and their sin, because they have defiled My land with the dead bodies of their disgusting matters, and have filled My inheritance with their abominations.”

Jeremiah 16 The Scriptures (ISR 1998)

Good, I agree, let them hear the words of HaNavi Yeshayahu through HaNavi Yochanan:

    Yeshayahu 40:1-3 (ISR 1998)
    1. “Comfort, comfort My people!” says your Elohim.
    2. “Speak to the heart of Yerushalayim, and cry out to her, that her hard service is completed, that her crookedness is pardoned, that she has received from the hand of יהוה double for all her sins
    3. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, “Prepare the way of יהוה; make straight in the desert a highway for our Elohim.

Isaiah 40 The Scriptures (ISR 1998)

If.. the theory is true that the Temple of Solomon was
over the Gihon Spring then it is a considerable distance away from
both the Dome of the Rock as well as the Al Aqsa Mosque.

    Ernest L. Martin - Wikipedia

Here is a statement from an ancient writing that seems to verify this theory.

I tend to think it is probably wiser to side with the rabbinical perspective on things like this. IMO part of the great tragedy of the severing of the Jewish roots of Messiah is we have lost so much. It is important for us to remember that scripture is a JEWISH book, written in a Jewish cultural context largely about Jews in the Hebrew to, for and by Jews in which, the goy (nations) are extended an opportunity to be GRAFTED IN. Because of that, if we fail to look at these things through that lens (of Jewishness in terms of cultural understanding and the way it is written and communicated) will will miss MUCH of what is actually being said.

Visionary.... what do you think of an idea that has been occurring to me for
years now that...... the fact that Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus was indeed Messiah the Passover Lamb, and I believe both Moshiach ben Ephrayim as well as Moshiach ben David, does not rule out the possibility of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus raising up another fully human Moshiach ben Ephrayim, (Messiah son of Joseph/ Yosef) and another human Moshiach ben David in our time period?

This idea occurred to me due to the duration of time between the Spring Holy Days to the fall Holy Days. Is the nearly 2000 years from the death, burial and resurrection of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus a delay symbolized by the fifty days to Pentecost and then several more months until Rosh ha Shanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot?

The "two" witnesses will be our last testament before the world. I look forward to seeing them, and know they are the catalyst for the end days. For with them, Satan knows his time is short, and all out attack will occur. The spiritual world will be visible to the physical world.
