I will preface with that I still believe I don't have to understand every single word of a prayer in order for it to be useful through the mystery embedded in them. But now I'm asked by someone else.
Anyway, I'm wondering what exactly is meant by "for/because of my enemies" in the prayer one says while entering the Church. That is because I honestly do not understand the English version. The Romanian version always seemed to sort of mean something else, but I don't know. So if anyone knows the Greek (or Slavonic) version, that would help too.
"I will come into Your house in the greatness of Your mercy: and in fear I will worship toward Your holy temple. Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before me, [...]"
Whereas in Romanian, my best understanding is:
"[...] advise / counsel me towards Your justice for my enemies, straighten my way before You [...]"
Thanks.
