With respect, what you're suggesting is unknown and unknowable. There's no way to be sure what might've happened under other circumstances. All we know is what did in fact happen.

Please let us remember this thread is located in Traditional Theology. Everyone should have read the Statement of Purpose before posting.

I realize that heaven and hell are favorite topics for speculation, and that's fine. But please start a thread in General Theology or Controversial Theology to discuss speculation. Traditional Theology is intended to discuss topics in light of Holy Tradition, received from the Apostles (or at least having some established history). It is not meant for speculation, private revelation, etc.

I do realize we can end up in a forum area without realizing where we are posting, but if you enter other than through the subforum links, please take a moment to check the top of the sceeen to see where you are posting and make sure your posts comply with the rules and Statement of Purpose of the forum.
