Not that you asked me, but having read excerpts of his various books, I think the guy was a loon and caused undue scandal for the Church.

I'll second what nyj said. As I said in the thread on Martin below, I personally think he was more than a tad odd, and I would take him with a very large dose of salt. Anybody who claims to have seen Satanic rituals inside St. Peter's is worthy of the hairy eyeball.
