AGAIN:
Joh 5:16
And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
Joh 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

God only ceased His work of creating this world for it was finished. He, Himself, has never ceased to work! He can not, for the universe itself would stop functioning on the day He did!
He never stopped the universe on the 7th day to rest. Jesus clearly said the sabbath was made for man---not the Jew and certainly not for God!
Why are you all going over and over the same things that have already been answered?? Maybe everyone should just reread these posts!

No need to. Ask any Jew what the 7th day is.
The Hebrew 7th day is not Saturday. That is where the confusion abounds. The Hebrew month was a lunar month and the seventh day was always the seventh day, counted from the start of the month.

On a solar calendar the seventh day of the month can be any day of the week.

For some reason no one seems to understand the difference between a lunar month and a solar month.

Is there anyone out here who can spot the difference?

Glory be!! Call the President of Israel and let them know that they have been worshiping God on the wrong day for as long as they have existed!!! And while you're at it---don't forget to tell God!

Your deeply confused because you do not know what a lunar month is.

The Hebrews used a lunar calendar not a solar calendar.

Like I said, call Israel, call them on a Saturday. One thing I do know, some people are simply not very thorough.

God instructed them to observe His holy days on
specific days of the month, but while at the same time,
during appointed seasons in the year (Leviticus 23:4).

The Hebrew calendar accomplishes this through
a 19-year time cycle. A leap year is periodically
introduced into the 19-year cycle in order to keep
the calendar in season—in harmony with the solar year.
The four postponement rules are used.

His holy days (as determined by the moon) in
their proper seasons (as determined by the sun).
[The season] has to sometime be adjusted by the sun.

Lunar-solar
The Hebrews Use a Lunisolar calendar
the Hebrew calendar finalized by Hillel ii.

Thanks for mentioning 'Hillel II'.

Declaring the new month by observation of the new moon, and the new year by the arrival of spring, can only be done by the Sanhedrin. In the time of Hillell II [4th century C.E.], the last President of the Sanhedrin, the Romans prohibited this practice. Hillel II was therefore forced to institute his fixed calendar, thus in effect giving the Sanhedrin's advance approval to the calendars of all future years. ("The Jewish Calendar and Holidays [incl. Sabbath]": The Jewish Calendar; Changing the Calendar, www.torah.org)

The New Moon is still, and the Sabbath originally was, dependent upon the lunar cycle. (Universal Jewish Encyclopedia, p. 410)

So in the time of Jesus; the apostles followed the lunar month cycles and that was set by the observation of the new moon.

Once the calendar was set by Hillel II in the fourth century the month cycle was of a fixed duration. The moon no longer governed the start of the month in Judaism.

Now we know when the lunar monthly cycle was abandoned!

Hello buddy.

You need to cite your sources. Have a look at my posts and notice the sources are listed. It is against the law to not cite the source, the offence is called plagarism.

Now we know when the lunar monthly cycle was abandoned!

Christ keep His calendar
Why was it changed?

Daniel 7:24-25. Here God is talking about the
“little horn,” the Catholic Church. mentioned
again in the 17th chapter of Revelation.

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until and times and the dividing of time.”

God begins the days at sunset.
God begins the week after the Sabbath.
God begins the months with the new moons.
God begins the year in the early spring.

the Gregorian calendar—
named after Pope Gregory xiii.

Changed the start of the day.
changed the week start and ending.
changed the start of the year and the seasons.
changed the calendar to a solar [sun observance]
changed Gods convocations to there holy days.
changed Gods laws.

Lamentations 2:17
The Lord hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.

Hello, thank you for quoting John 5:16, 17...so my question is if God and Jesus working on the 7th day Sabbath according to what Jews claim and the response by Jesus then,

maybe we're CONFUSED or Not Fully Understand what is ;(1) Our work, (2) When would be Our Sabbath be....

Hello Semper-Fi.

You stated.

again in the 17th chapter of Revelation.

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until and times and the dividing of time.”
That is one of a number of different interpretations of Daniel 7.
God begins the days at sunset.
That is correct according to the scripture.
God begins the week after the Sabbath.
Incorrect. The Sabbath was the seventh day on the Hebrew calendar. The Hebrew week began at the start of the month.
God begins the months with the new moons.
Very good, your on top of it now.
God begins the year in the early spring.
Correct and that first Hebrew month was called Nisan.
the Gregorian calendar—
named after Pope Gregory xiii.
Introduced the papal solar calendar.
Changed the start of the day.
changed the week start and ending.
changed the start of the year and the seasons.
changed the calendar to a solar [sun observance]
changed Gods convocations to there holy days.
changed Gods laws.
Correct.

Jesus relieved the suffering of man on the Sabbath. He healed. We must taker care of the sick, elderly, animals and the young. Our work and our own pleasures are pretty obvious things---paid work, labor out in the fields (gardening)P and so on--not buying or selling---Things that distract our minds from Him. Not all that complicated!
BTW---you know the best way to study a subject----do something else! When you come back to the subject, you mind actually works better. It was a trick I was taught in grade school that helped me in my studies. Worked great--had a 3.8 grade average---worked for everything except math---always hated numbers and anything like that just fries my brain and I can't think and will be overwhelmed! Had it not bee for math, I'd have had a 4.0 and it still rankles--I hate the prophecies---too many numbers!

Incorrect. The Sabbath was the seventh day on the Hebrew calendar. The Hebrew week began at the start of the month.

God began the week with day one and ended on the 6th day, and sanctified and hallowed the 7th day., ---that is what scripture says and that ends the matter.

And what God did in not providing manna on the 7th was not for Him to rest or everything would stop and we would all die---it was to prevent them from laboring for their bread on that day.

God begins the week after the Sabbath.

Incorrect.
The Sabbath was the seventh day on the Hebrew calendar.
The Hebrew week began at the start of the month.

So the first day of the week
does not follow the seventh day?

There is more then one week in a month.
One week follows the next, that follows
the next, that follows the next, that follows
the next.,......................................

The is no weekly cycle break, going
from one month to another.

You said a new month was always on Monday
[the 2nd day of the week.]

I posted info that showed that wrong.

"Beginning of new Hebrew month of Nisan.
the 1st month of the Hebrew year. Responds
to March or April on the Gregorian calendar.

Rosh Chodesh Nisan begins at sundown
on Wed, 25 March 2020.

Even since Christ, the 7 day week sequence
has not changed one day. See post #70

In 1582, that Thursday the 4th was followed by Friday
the 15th. The weekly cycle was not interrupted.

Now take a look at 1752, Wednesday the 2nd
was followed by Thursday the 14th.

Again, the calendar had to be adjusted to correct it
to the seasons but the weekly cycle remained unchanged.
