  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  4. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.

Question About Strange FB Behavior (to me, an Aspie)

Ok, I'm an Aspie and I frequently have no idea how to take certain facebook behaviors.

Last week, a lady from church added me to FB because she wanted to send me a song to listen to. I didn't like the song, so I didn't reply. I figured no reply was better than telling the truth that it sucked, right? I don't know what I was supposed to do there.

Anyway, ever since I added her, she has liked every picture of my husband on my FB page. I went camping last week...took lots of pics of me and him. She likes all of his pictures. THEN, she went through my mobile uploads and liked all the pics of HIM....again. Just him. No pics of me, or me and him...just HIM. Keep in mind that he is 45 and she is sixty-something. She's married too.

Now, I don't feel threatened. It's comical more than anything, but why would a neuro-typical older woman would do this? Either, A. She's got the hots for my Hispanic/Italian husband (which is hilarious to me). B. She wants to make it obvious that she does not like me (because I didn't comment on the crappy song she sent me? Stupid mind games or something. I'm 48 and don't understand how people get their feelings hurt over something stupid like that, but I know they do!) C. It's a weird coincidence and regardless of the reason, she's nothing to worry about. D. A little of all three?

Obviously, I have nothing to worry about, but sometimes, NT behavior like this baffles me as to what the motivator and real reason for it is. o_Oo_Oo_O

Who knows. I got rid of FB years ago because of annoying drama.

If anything else weird happens just delete her.

My husband survives without it. Starting to think I can too. I do like using it to sell stuff and get local updates on events/news.

I think I'll put her on a restricted list. That's the best invention ever for FB. They can see your profile, but not that you posted anything.

As a matter of fact, I think I'll put everybody from church on a restricted list. That's where all the weirdness comes from! o_O

If you absolutely must do Facebook, I'd do just a handful of close family. And decades-long friends. And that's it.

You can block her. She sounds like a troll to me.

Maybe he reminds her of her son? Idk, this is baffling to me also. Not having facebook really helps to avoid weird situations like that!

For the record, I usually just say thanks for sharing when someone sends me a song I don't like and I don't want to offend them.

I don't think it has anything to do with the song she sent you.
I doubt she has the hots for your husband, because if she did, it would be odd to be so overt.

I wager she just liked those pictures, or whatever.

Honestly, I think you are over thinking this... however it is also true that people do odd things on facebook that they would never do in person.

Sounds to me like this isn't something you need in your life. I rarely use facebook. If I'm on it once or twice a month, that's more than enough.

    I stopped using FB.

    Problem solved!

I kept my account though for the messenger feature. Nowadays I only use the FB messenger app on the phone, never check my page anymore unless I'm adding a friend.

You could just ask her why? Confront this issue if it's a problem. She could be liking his pics because she wants something like it?

Could be anything until you ask the person or just restrict her like you said and not worrying about it.
