This is the January bird in the bird wall calendar I have! While we have woodpeckers in my area, we don't have this particular woodpecker, so it's neat to see another view of it!

I don't know woodpeckers well. My daughter took this picture and thought it was a Downy Woodpecker, as distinguished from a Harry woodpecker. It looks pretty similar to the one posted earlier too!

Yeah, some of the birds in our garden are so tame that they'll follow you into the house if you don't pay attention. Especially blackbirds - they would pick raisins right out of your hand.

It's a dove, they are a lot smaller than pigeons. Last year I was on a Gulf fishing pier and there were a couple of green sea pigeons. They were about the size of a serama hen.
