I am wondering what the MJ interpretation of this verse is.
I have heard it said that in Judaism, to say, "6 things yet 7" means 6 things are "sufficient" to show the case and with 7 things it means there is "no mistaking" it or "proving" it or making it a "surety".
Clearly in the written text, it says "There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him" but I think this means there are 7 abominations and 7 things the Lord hates, and it is just written this way to emphasis the above understanding.
Thanks for any answers.
