Proper definition of lust

Can someone please give me a clear and proper definition of lust and when I've crossed the line because i see so much contradicting views on the internet and i struggle with this daily. People of christian forums please help me.

Lust is simply desiring the worlds offerings of goods and pleasures in an evil sort of way. The word lust in the greek is kakos, which represents the wicked effects of evil.

In the Lord's prayer the Lord recommends us to "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and, lead us not into sin but deliver us from evil." I think that we all struggle with this in some way or another. But... Christ is a forgiver of sins! Thank God for that!

I'd say (and I think a dictionary would give something close to this) that it is not about having sexual feelings or an appetite, but indulging it mentally, enjoying it, and craving fulfillment.

King Solomon of all people had this advice for men:

Lust generally is wanting something for your own selfish reasons, rather than out of love, for the benefit of the other person. For instance, you may want to use someone for sexual gratification rather than for sharing each other in love in the context of permanent covenant relationship. Or you may want money in order to spend it on your pleasure, rather than to help others and build the kingdom of God.

Can someone please give me a clear and proper definition of lust ...

I have understood lust means that person has evil desire. Evil desire means person wants something that he should not desire. For example, neighbor’s wife doesn’t belong to you and you should not want her.
