Can you have proof God exists? Jesus said "Blessed are those who believe and have not seen" (John 20:29)

But here are 4 of DOZENS of true events I've experienced that serve as a reminder to me that God is REAL, He knows me personally, He loves me personally, He really shows me the truth of things I could never have known, and He's not just "in my head", "a figment of my imagination", or a man-made religious myth.

True Even #1
When I was 10 years old, I was in a church sermon and heard the Bible verses on Hell...instantly in my mind, it was a big, black, bottomless pit, about the size of a football field, and I had just enought light to see myself walking down a dirt path leading to hell. I went home, asked my dad "I'm going to Hell. How to I avoid that?" He said "Oh...that's something you have to talk to Jesus about." He led me in a prayer to a man named Jesus who was alive in Heaven, confessing every known sin, and asking Him to come into my heart. Before I could finishing saying "Jesus, please come into my heart..." it was if a waterfall in the sky opened up and washed away all my heavy guilt, fear, and shame. INSTANTLY, I KNEW I would NEVER go to Hell, and I was so excited, I jumped up and ran down the street to tell my best friend Michael. That was 21 years ago. Michael is not a pastor in seminary.

But some may say, "But that was all in your head. That's not proof." To which I say "Ok. It was proof to me, but I understand" :)

However....

True Event #2
I didn't experience God again until college. A fiery street preacher was at my university, and I was watching him talk to the crowd. A man came up and invited me into a Christian group for Bible study. I ended up going on a Florida evangelical, spiritual growth summer trip. During that summer of 2005, during a worship service, I felt compelled to leave, so I went on the beach, in the dark, and began weeping for my family to be saved. After praying, I heard a still small voice (aka a internal thought in English) say to me "Get up and go across the street" This made no sense because it was dark and nothing was there, but it seemed exciting, so I walked over the highway to find a pier full of night fisherman. I froze because I knew God wanted me to tell them about Jesus, but I was embarrassed. Finally, I gave in, and walked up to a couple and his father, who turned around to face me, and I simply pulled out a Bible, flipped it open, and read the first verse I saw. The verse was Ephesians 5:25 ("Husbands, loves your wives as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her. Wives, submit to your husband as unto the Lord.") The couple, and their older father just STARRED at me... in shock they asked..."Where did you come from?" I said, "From across the street. I'm with a Christian group of students down here for the summer" They said "That is unbelievable!!! Do you know why we are out here?" "No" I said. They said "We have been having marital problems, and we were meeting with my dad, one last time, before we were going to get divorced." They were ecstatic that God had given them directions to save their marriage, and they wanted to drive me back to the motel across the street, so I obliged."

Now some may say, "That was just coincidence!" to which I'd say "Ok. But can you even fathom the odds of that happening?"

But there's more.. MUCH MORE.

True Event #3
After becoming an active follower of Jesus Christ and hearing God's voice for the first time in college, I began to listen for God's Voice (the Holy Spirit) and do more of what He said.

I had been attending a lovely Assemblies of God church, full of people who loved to worship Jesus Christ. One night at home, the Lord was speaking to me, so I called my dad and said, "Dad, God is speaking to me". My dad, who was a christian by religion, but not by personal experience (his own testimony) told me "Well, write it down like a journal so you can have it to look over, and see what happens." So I did. It was 4 paragraphs. It made sense until all of a sudden God said "I know the harm caused to you by those who claim to be your 'pastors'". I dropped the pen and thought "Ok. This is crazy. This is just me, not God. My pastors are super nice, great men." For some reason, I still typed it onto my blogspot site.

1 month later, on a Sunday in church, a denominational leader overseeing the state of Indiana stepped up and said that 3 of the 9 pastors (1/3rd) had been under investigation for adultery with dozens of women over 10-15 years, including each other's wives. We listened to taped recordings of these "men of God" telling the women to "keep in the kitchen" and that confessing their sins publicly would just "throw oil on the fire" and hurt "God's work". They had also been pilfering money from the collections and increasing their own salaries secretly.

(Note: My blogpost is still there, with the original upload date, and you can read about the corrupt 'pastors' in the Indianapolis Star newspaper, dated about 6 weeks after my blog)

But some may say..."Ok. That was just your subconscious because you could sense they were bad people" To which I'd say "How, when there was NOTHING I knew consciously that would have even given me a clue?"

But ok...I'll share 1 more..

True event #4

In the fall of 2015, I had just been offered a promotion, and I got a bad headache so I left to go to the hospital in Greenwood, Indiana. It was my nearest in-network hospital, so I made the trip.... on the way down there, I was just trying to relax and enjoy the sunlight, and God began to speak things that were physically calming me down. I rode on like this for a while and suddenly realized I had missed the road for the hospital and I had ended up in a small town shopping district call Edinburgh Indiana. I found a small park next to a warehouse, so I decided to park my car behind the warehouse where it would be out of the way. Then I went for a walk in the park. It was beautiful. The glistening dew on the grass, the green trees, the joggers on the track, people with dogs, and God just kept whispering things like "Be still and know that I am God." I decided to explore a bit, so I left the park on foot, walked around the other side of the warehouse, stopped at a small firehouse and made small talk with the firefighters washing the trucks, and took a stroll past some shops with cowboy boots and hats in the windows. Then I saw this large dog walking down the sidewalk. He looked well-kept with a collar, so I followed him, hoping to get his owner's info, but he got away. I looked up, realizing I had got turned around and didn't know which direction I'd come from. I found an older man walking the sidewalk, and asked for directions, but he directed me to a high school track instead of the park by which I'd parked my car behind the warehouse. I suddenly began to be afraid. I was in a new town, without a phone (I left it in the car intentionally for some peace and quite), and all I had were my keys. I pressed the key fab alarm but heard nothing. I became very afraid, but the Holy Spirit whispered "Don't be afraid. Just follow Me." And He directed me straight ahead. Suddenly He said "Turn Left" so I did. As I looked down the street, I noticed small shops on either side, and on the left, under the black and white sign of a small plumbers shop, sat MY CAR!!! It was parked perfectly on the curb. I could barely believe my eyes and thought it was just someone else's of the same model. But when I used my key fab, the lights lit up and I started it. I had to touch the door handle and get inside before I really believed it. Nothing was broken, nothing was dirty, and it was still locked. Those cars will only shift out of park with the key in the car, and your foot on the brake. It's a push button, electric start 2014 Ford Fusion.

Not only did God's Spirit lead me straight back to my car, He BROUGHT MY CAR TO MEET ME HALFWAY!!!

I drove home with the real sense of my Almighty Father God escorting me home in His own Chariot/Limousine.

I have DOZENS and DOZENS of other true stories like this, but my point to anyone who thinks God is a myth or a lie, is that you just need a tiny grain of faith in Jesus Christ to ask Him into your heart, but once you do, God will PROVE Himself to you as the all-knowing, all-powerful, merciful, loving, Father. He will walk with you daily, if you'll walk with Him. He'll even speak to you, if you need it.

It takes a tiny speck of faith to believe in Jesus Christ, but here's 4 true events that serve as a reminder to me that

A) Jesus is real, alive, and God
B) He's not just a story in a book
C) He's not a figment man-made religious myths
D) He is not just a figment of my imagination or emotions
E) He doesn't just live in me

If E = mc2 then we can divide and conclude that...

Mass (m) = Energy (E/c2)

And there are three varieties...

Natural E/c2 - All mass is basically cooled plasma
Mental E/c2 - Our brains output is a result of E/c2
Spiritual E/c2 - E (motivation, warmth, love) / c2 (faith, hope, charity, joy)
---c2 - Kind a like red, blue, green, and yellow, only in spiritual terms.

When I came to know Christ I felt the E/c2 on spiritual terms. I have also did a devotion on a Robert Sheffey, who came to Christ on the same terms...

"During church one day at the end of the month a second and very heavy snow fell. He could not wait to trudge his way to the peak, for his soul felt full and the morning sermon had opened his eyes to something. The minister had preached long and eloquently. His theme was that most of mankind did not respond to the call of God because they did not feel His lovingkindness."

When one senses the spiritual E/c2 then he also senses the power of the creator.

Proof for us has become a scientific term. What we have in our terms is evidence, the witness of others, the traditions we have received, the experience of our own lives, the record of scripture, the living witness of the Church. All these things give us grounds for faith, but faith requires a commitment, the one step beyond the empirical, because it happens in our hearts, our souls and our minds.

Can you have proof God exists? Jesus said "Blessed are those who believe and have not seen" (John 20:29)

Thanks for sharing. In regard to this verse, it is not about believing in the existence of God, but about trusting Jesus about what he said would happen. Jesus had performed many miracles in presence of Thomas, so he had been give good reason to believe Jesus when he said that he would be resurrected in three days even though that future was not seen, yet he didn't have faith in what he said.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Though, little tip: don't put phrases in all caps like that, especially with multiple exclamation points. It makes posts look comical and not to be taken seriously. Just a tip. :)

Also regarding your last paragraph, what about the people who have had faith beyond the grain of a mustard seed, maybe we're even preachers, and then became exChristians, whether agnostic, atheist, or another religion?

What. Why are you using E=mc2 for this? This makes no sense whatsoever.

So faith, hope, charity and joy is the speed of light? Motivation and warmth is energy?

Jesus did many miracles in the sight of others during His time here on earth, and many rejected Him regardless.

Indeed there were crowds of people who welcomed Him, but Jesus "knew their hearts".

You could give a person incontrovertible proof of God and it would not change their soul from death to life, for those who are unsaved love the darkness and hate the light. Only God can intervene in their souls and change their hearts from hearts of stone to hearts of flesh.

If you behold a fire you are beholding light and warmth in the form of E/c2 as it is being dis-associated.

When you are around the Spirit of God you also can sense an energy and a light that emanates from this powerful entity.

“Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God.” ― Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

“Some day, after we have mastered the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love. Then for the second time in the history of the world, we will have discovered fire.” ― Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

“The whole life lies in the verb seeing.” ― Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
But why E/c2? What is the significance of this? Why are you using 'c2', which is a term for the speed of light squared? What's the point of using this equation?

m (mass) = (E/c2) plasma energy

Mass can be changed to plasma
Plasma can be changed to Mass

Hard to tell how many times the mass as been disassociated into plasma and the plasma reassociated into mass throughout the eternities. God is going to soon dissociate the mass as we know it back into plasma and do something else with it.

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. - Isaiah 65:17
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. - 2 Peter 3

There is also a E/c2 in spiritual variety

E/c2 - A spiritual heart on fire and alive with warmth, love, motivation, faith, hope, charity, goodness... etc...
Mass - Encapsulated E/c2 in the form of a hardened and calloused heart that can not feel the beauties of the creation around it.

Plasma is a state of matter. What do you mean by 'plasma energy'? This doesn't make sense.

What about those who were devout and tried to follow God but then started doubting and became exChristians? They certainly do not "love the darkness and hate the light" metaphorically speaking if they really wanted to be believers and we're once really devout but ended up coming to a conclusion not to. You talk as if every person who's not Christian just wants to be bad and rebel against God when the reality is a lot more complicated than that.

I don't get joy being the sign of the presence of God if we look at the Old Testament. Those certainly weren't joyful things.

Those who fall away likely did not truly believe to begin with. Indeed there are perhaps many who think themselves Christians now, and would outwardly profess belief, when in actual fact have not truly trusted in Jesus and do not bear the fruit to show for it. And Christians also at one point only wanted to be bad and rebel against God, there was nothing better or special about them, only that God had mercy upon them.

It may sound like a cop out, but this is what it says in 1 John 2:18-19

"Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us."

If they are "of us", of the sheep, they would continue in their faith.

Sorry to be blunt, but, that is a cop-out. That's like saying that someone who decides to eliminate meat from their diet and become a vegetarian must have never eaten the right meat. Some people can be incredibly devout believers, who have been convinced of Christianity's reality since they were young, and then ended up looking at the Bible's actual words, or the history or it, or morals, or something of that nature, and came to the conclusion that Christianity was untrue or just that they weren't sure—why should people be punished and accused of "never being the real thing" for questioning things? For using their brains to come to conclusions based on what they learn and know? It's painful for many exChristians to go through especially if they were raised in religious belief their whole life.

So don't say someone must have not truly believed to begin with because it isn't true. And for many coming to that conclusion is hard. It's painful. It's conflicting. It's emotionally draining. It's giving up everything they thought they knew and knowing they can't unlearn what they now know that causes them to come to that conclusion.

I wouldn't say that to an ex-Christian, I do not know if they never believed, or if they do truly believe but have backslidden and will come back later.

And you may say it is a cop-out, but then what do you make of 1 John 2:18-19, the verses I showed? The very leaving of the Church shows they were not of us to begin with.

John 7:17
If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.

The teaching-doctrine of Christ, Christ says if you will to do His will, which is to believe in His Son Christ, then you shall know that the teaching is from God Himself come into your life.

So you will know Him in your inner man of the spirit that you are a child of God.

John 6:28
Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”
John 6:29
Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

In this work, God has a 100% success rate.
Notice Christ swings this from a work we do, to a work God does that we then believe in Christ.
