I found this double Tribute, thought I would add it.

I watched some specials last night til early this morning.
[Combo insomnia, and dog wasnt feeling well so I stayed up anyway]

I was pretty perturbed to find;

1-Princess Diana had written before her death that she thought she would be killed off by some sort of accident.
2-That it took the ambulance over an hour to get to the hospital three miles away.
3-That the only witness to the accident called 911 and instead of the authorities helping the accident victims, the witness was handcuffed and taken into custody and told he had better keep silent. And that his statement strangely disappeared.
4-He said there were not any paparazzi following the vehicle.
5-He and another person above the tunnel both said the car made a strange sound then it crashed. Kind of like a car stuck in neutral and hitting the gas pedal.
6-The video pictures of Henri Paul showed no sign whatsoever of intoxication. They had him bending over to tie his shoes and stand up without a single sign he had a drop to drink.
7-Reports he was drunk had come out before he was given an autopsy, and when he was, it was not noted the time or any other usual record.
8-The body guards Diana had, would not have let him drive.
9-Dodi Fayed's cell phone [which was in his hands in pictures] his papers, his cigarettes, and lighter were not on his person when they were recovering his body.
10-The tunnel was cleaned with detergent [by a machine] at about or near 7 am and the tunnel was reopened. Highly suspect and unusual because it was not yet investigated. Usually a tragedy of a high profile person, it would have been closed 2 days. SO said the experts.
11-Diana died from her heart stopping from lack of blood in her body. Which seems rather odd it took the ambulance that long to get to the hospital three miles away. [I am still puzzled beyond words why it took over an hour]
12-Witnesses on Dodi's yacht claimed Diana had her own quarters and did not shack up or share with Dodi.
Some think it might have been to get Prince Chuck..jealous.
13-Henri Paul was a secret service agent..[???] I might have that part wrong if I misheard it. IF he was, then he may not have had issue with laying down his life for the service. [Maybe]

I cannot remember other details I found strange in this case...
And I previously scoffed at the idea this was a conspiracy...
UNTIL I saw the reports last night.

:| Whoever did this, will have to make some sort of payment in the next life...if this indeed was a set up.

Princess Diana hated traveling with the Royals to see the poor because her hands were tied...and she really wanted to touch and love them.

She was basically a loner, and loved privacy so being royal made her uncomfortable..
BUT when she divorced she decided to use that power to influence others to help her in ministering the sick and the poor.

No doubt Diana was a sinner...and she did sin. But not knowing her heart... I cannot say how or what the Lord did.
My thinking...Jesus says that the one who leaves the spouse causes them to commit adultery.
And to marry only for love.

Chuck married her out of duty...to have heirs to the throne and an acceptable partner.
His father had told him that he could have an affair if he gave the marriage 5 years chance. In four years though, he was having his affair with Camilla again.

At the engagement announcement, the press asked if they were in love... to which Diana said of course, but Chuck said 'Whatever that means'

The day b4 the wedding she heard him profess his love to Camilla no matter what happened... and her sisters told her she had to go through with the wedding.

The best that came out of this mess was she taught her sons how to love the poor...
And I hope that one day...they will have the information they need to put light to their mother's senseless death.

Although Diana was not the epitome of Sainthood, she had alot of trials and errors to overcome. A lonely sad marriage, and a yearning for love. To which her cold husband would not give to her.

I think under the circumstances, she did what she could...and would not have been tempted had she been loved. Seeing a cold husband every three weeks and ignoring her...and knowing he had another woman would have hurt anyone.

I also believe she was Anglican... correct?
Nevertheless, she did get to know Mother Terese, and I saw pictures of her with JPll.

She had a good heart... even if she was imperfect.

So pray for her.

I remember watching the story on the early morning news - I was only eight and too selfish to really care, but it was sad event, looking back. I think the way her death has been handled in the tabloids for the last ten years has been appalling - give the women some peace already! I'm probably being harsh, but if you didn't even meet her you have no right to be sobbing about it. What the country was doing after Diana died wasn't mourning- it was emotional masturbation.

I admit I cried...for her sons.
I didnt go crazy, which is why i did much care about the conspiracy theories.

But now, I think there is something more... just like JFK.

You are entitled to your opinion... and ppl who cried, are entitled to theirs.

I also cried over Mother Therese, JPll and John Candy. :sorry:
Well, I loved John Candy.
:p

No. She was trying to make Dr Hasnat Khan jealous. She had already divorced Prince Charles by then and had been having a secret affair with Dr Hasnat Khan for the previous two years before she died. She had been wanting to take the relationship with him onto a more serious level (marriage, children, etc) but he was hesitant about it. He did not want the publicity. So she broke it off with him shortly before going on holiday with Dodi. Her romance with Dodi was a sham and a ploy to get Dr Khan to notice what he was missing.

Dr Khan, a heart specialist, was devastated when Princess Diana died, knowing that had she been in his care after the accident, she would have lived.

Yes, I loved him too. I could not believe that he died so young.

 Thank you.
I am sort of glad it was not Chuck who she was trying to make jealous.

He didnt love her...ever. So sad.

Well, she could have lived had she been in the hospital in time.
I am still shocked it took over an hour to get her there ....which was only three miles away...!!!

Its not so much just a tragedy now...as it is a definite conspiracy.
[I hate conspiracy theories and the one about Elvis being alive drives me loo loo]

However; after seeing everything on the special... done by expert investigators, and the fact so much is being suppressed or ignored...makes me believe something is amiss.
They will NOT open an investigation..can you believe that??

I hate when these sorts of things get swept under the carpet and no one does anything.

It was a senseless death.

DID you see her very candid 'interview' she had with the actor who was coaching her to do speeches??
Whew...she even told what her courtship was like.

Being only 19 she thought maybe the prince loved her, and she was infatuated. He really took advantage of her.

YES...I loved John Candy.
His co workers said he was so nice, and missed his family when he was working.
Very loyal man to his wife.

He made me laugh hysterically.:holy:

When they found him, he had died in his hotel bedroom [heart attack] under a cross on the wall. :crossrc:

The night she died, (well, it would have been late at night here, early morning there), I remember I got up for a couple of minutes, pretty late....one of my kids must have woken me up. I clicked the radio on and was so surprised to hear them saying she'd been in the accident and was in the hospital.
I prayed briefly for her before going back to bed. I remember so clearly...I pled the blood of Christ upon her, and I felt the Holy Spirit leap in my heart, as if to encourage me, "Yes, do that."

When I found out in the morning that she had died, I wished I had prayed longer.
She was baptized Catholic, I think? I just read a book about her life, I should go back and check.

Perhaps she is in purgatory, I don't know. It comforted me to know that she knew Mother Teresa. I am sure she prayed for Diana.

And the newsweek article about Mother Teresa at her passing was beautiful. I remember there was a photo on one page of her walking by the crucifix at the mission, which said, "I THIRST". And the caption for this photo, in large letters, said, "Jesus was her everything."

Isn't that awesome?

John Candy was so cool. I was sad when he died, too. He seemed like a genuinely decent person.

You must have seen Cool Runnings, Warrior Angel? One of our family's Favorite movies.
Yes, he died far too young. Jesus have mercy on his soul and on his loved ones still here. Amen.

Awesome indeed. :holy:

I liked John Candy, I loved Stripes when I was in JH and thought that him and Culkin were so funny in Uncle Buck.

I also loved 'Great Outdoors' :D
Uncle Buck cracked me up...
Most of his movies did. Not all. :holy:

Not suggesting that Diana was a Saint and Mother Teresa isn't, nor that John Candy wasn't a good comedian, but what irritates me the most about Diana's death was that people stood around snapping pictures of the dying princess and not bothering to get her to the hospital to save her life. (After she's dead, it's too late--then, IMO, the tears are more our shame at the recognition of our inhumanity, and the sadness of how tragic any death is, especially for a young mother.) Actually, I found the Prince's public act of appearing to mourn rather hypocritical. We all knew that he didn't love her and Diana never "fit in" with the Crown. Diana's funeral was as large as it was because the people mourned her.

I hear that donations to Diana's fund to aid her charities--to the poor, to aids patients, et. al. is being closed now. The Crown thinks that the poor and aids victims have had enough aid?
