Kodadog is right Raven, Its all about the intentions within your heart. You have done your part by saying "Yes Lord i want to believe", Once you say yes to Jesus the dye has been set, and nothing can make him leave you.

All of us here can see your intentions Raven, and Jesus is more loving, more compassionate and more caring then us by a zillion fold. Nothing can triumph over Jesus's love andplan of salvation for you once you said yes, not even these fearfull thoughts. Take it from me Raven, you know what I went through from my old posts here, and I still get hit with the thoughts now, but there are alsosome nice part sof my day where I feel so relieved, and it will happen for you also. You may not think so right now (as I didnt when I was going through the worst of it), but the storm will pass. Your job right now is to get help, and hold onto Jesus and the cross with everything you got. Right now Jesus is so proud of you, he sees that you want him now more then you ever wanted him before. Do you really think Jesus will damn one of his future angels? Raven, Jesus is in love with YOU, and there is no force in this universe that will make him let go of you.

If you could see Jesus Christ, right now, tonight, what would you say to Him? "Am I saved Jesus? Am I good enough for you and Heaven? What if I have all this doubt?" What do you think He would say to you Raven? How do you think Peter reacted the first time He saw Christ walking on water and thought He was a ghost, BECAUSE He had doubt. Peter even started to sink because he didn't believe.

After feeding 500, Jesus sends his disciples ahead of him in a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee. Several hours later in the night, the disciples encounter a storm. Jesus comes to them, walking on the water. This terrifies the disciples who think they are seeing a ghost. Jesus tells them in verse 27, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."

Peter replies, "Lord, if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water." So Jesus invites Peter to come. Peter gets out of the boat and begins walking on the water toward Jesus. But when Peter takes his eyes off Jesus and sees the wind and waves, he begins to sink. Peter cries out to the Lord and Jesus immediately reaches out his hand and catches Peter. As they climb into the boat together, the storm ceases. Then the disciples worship Jesus, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God.

•"Jesus sends the disciples away so he can get alone on the mountainside and pray. Even in his busy schedule,spending time with God is a priority for Jesus.


• The disciples, even though they have spent much time with Jesus, don't recognize him in the storm. Sometimes we don't recognize the Lord when he comes to us in the middle of our "storms.


"Peter doesn't begin to sink until he starts looking around at the wind and the waves. Taking our eyes off Jesus, and focusing on the difficult circumstances will cause us to get under our problems. But when we cry out to Jesus, he catches us by the hand and raises us above the seemingly impossible surroundings.



The point is, you already WANT to believe. It doesn't matter if it amounts to fill the vasts depths of the ocean OR to fill the void of a mustard seed Raven. It doesn't matter how right or how wrong YOU think you are doing it. The matter is you WANT to believe. Let Christ now build your faith. Here is a question for you. Do you want to really believe. Do you really want to know Christ? If yes, then Raven, you ARE saved. I won't reassure you anymore from here on out, now you have to open your heart to Him. Let the doubt be there, the questions, the "I don't know if I can's"... Now, if you want to live a Christ-like life, you have to do some work on your end. And that is love. Love God with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul. And then love everyone else the same as yourself. Let God take care of the rest. Do you really want Christ the center of your life Raven?

I haven't trusted like Anonymous said. How do I do that push my doubts God doesn't exist away and fears of 2012
I want to believe God merciful but I can't know what if he exists

Also God creates us, some as killers pedophiles and raptists yes we have free will but God knew those who would act badly given in to complusions they were given by him. If they go to hell how can doubters he exists be safer.

Your doubt in God and fear of going to hell and not being with Him just proves you WANT to be with Him, know Him, see Him. God gives EVERYONE the opportunity to know Him, follow Him and love Him. Your no exception and neither is your doubt. So 2012 is right around the corner. Let it be! Tell yourself and your fear to bring it on. Take it head on Raven! What,... you think you can't do it? Bah! I don't believe you. You can do ANYTHING through Christ. ANYTHING. And that means moving mountains to conquering your inner most fears that the God who created you, knows you better than yourself, wants nothing more than to love you and have a relationship with you. Don't push your fears away, let them be there. Expose yourself to them. Your thoughts/fears can't hurt you. Do you think your doubt is stronger than God's love for you? Here's a hint. (it's not and nor will it ever be). We can keep doing this dance Raven and I'm not trying to be insensitive, but if God could hit you over the head with a 2 x 4 to let you know how much He loves you, well, then you'd have one big knot in your head.

As far as this goes, I used to think this to. You give your life to Christ, then how can He go against Himself? He can't.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

That's all you need Raven. Many of us are "worriers" by nature. What you, me and others in here need are "solutions" not constant reassurance. That will get you NO WHERE. Start reading the Bible, every morning, work out, see if medication can help you, start listening to K-love. I mean, it's easy to worry about anything, day in and day out. I've been there, for well over a year. It gets you no where. You have to take action. It sucks at first, but I bet you can do it. Baby steps. You know the problem, you know your worry, we've established that. It's time for you to start finding good solutions to help you get through this. It'll happen, but you have to take the first step. No one can do it for you. We're all here for you and cheering you on. What are you waiting for????? Big hugs.

The difference here between you and an unbeliever is that they have an indifference between them and God, which you dont have. God loves you so much Raven that he will even take your smallest dinner table scraps .Jesus is in love with you and he is the most patient soulmate in the universe. Let me give you a small example about how much God loves you.


Behold I stand and knock at the door ... (Rev. 3:20) It is true. I stand at the door of your heart, day and night. Even when you are not listening, even when you doubt it could be me, I am there. I await even the smallest sign of your response, even the least whispered invitation that will allow me to enter.

And I want you to know that whenever you invite me, I do come - always, without fail. Silent and unseen I come, but with infinite power and love, bringing the many gifts of my Spirit. I come with my mercy, with my desire to forgive and heal you, and with a love for you beyond your comprehension, a love every bit as great as the love I received from the father - As much as the Father has loved me, I have loved you .. (Jn 15:10) . I come - longing to console you and give you strength, to lift you up and bind all your wounds. I bring you my light, to dispel your darkness and your doubts. I come with my power, that I might carry you and all your burdens; with my grace, to touch your heart and transform your life; and my peace I give to your soul.

I know you through and through. I know everything about you. The very hairs on your head I have numbered. Nothing in your life is unimportant to me. I have followed you through the years and I have always loved you, even in your wanderings. I know every one of your problems. I know your needs and your worries. And yes, I know all your sins. But I tell you again that I love you, not for what you have or haven't done. I love you for you, for the beauty and dignity my Father gave you by creating you in his own image. It is a dignity you have often forgotten, a beauty you have tarnished by sin. But I love you as you are, and I have shed my blood to win you back. If you only ask me with faith, my grace will touch all that needs changing in your life; and I will give you the strength to free yourself from sin and all its destructive power.

I know what is in your heart. I know your loneliness and all your hurts - the rejections, the judgements, the humiliations. I carried it all before you. And I carried it all for you so that you might share my strength and victory. I know especially your need for love, how you are thirsting to be loved and cherished. But how often you have thirsted in vain by seeking that love selfishly, striving to fill the emptiness inside you with passing pleasures - with the even greater emptiness of sin. Do you thirst for love ? Come to me all you who thirst ... (Jn: 37) I will satisfy and fill you. Do you thirst to be cherished ? I cherish you more than you can imagine - to the point of dying on a cross for you.

I thirst for you. Yes, that is the only way to even begin to describe my love for you : I THIRST FOR YOU.

I thirst to love you and be loved by you. That is how precious you are to me . I THIRST FOR YOU.

Come to me and I will fill your heart and heal your wounds. I will make a new creation and give you peace, even in all your trials. I THIEST FOR YOU.

You must never doubt my mercy, my acceptance of you, my desire to forgive, my longing to bless you and live my life in you. I THIRST FOR YOU.

If you feel unimportant in the eyes of the world, that matters not at all. For me, there is no one any more important in the entire world than you. I THIRST FOR YOU.

Open to me, come to me, thirst for me. give me your life - and I will prove to you how important you are to my heart

Don't you realise that my Father already has a perfect plan to transform your life, beginning from this moment ? Trust in me. Ask me every day to enter and take charge of your life - and I will. I promise you before my Father in heaven that I will work miracles in your life. Why would I do this ? Because I THIRST FOR YOU. All I ask of you is that you entrust yourslef to me completely. I will do the rest.

Even now I behold the place my Father has prepared for you in my kingdom. Remember that you are a pilgrim in this life, on a journey home. Sin can never satisfy you or bring the peace you seek. All that you have sought outside of me has only left you more empty, so do not cling to the things of this life. Above all, do not run from me when you fail. Come to me without delay. When you give me your sins, you give me the joy of being your Saviour. There is nothing I cannot forgive and heal; so come now and unburden your soul.

No matter how far you may wander, no matter how often you forget me, no matter how many crosses you may bear in this life, there is one thing I want you to always remember, one thing that will never change : I THIRST FOR YOU - just as you are. You don't need to change to believe in my love, for it will be your belief in my love that will change you.

You forget me, and yet I am seeking you every moment of the day - standing at the door of your heart and knocking. Do you find this hard to believe ? Then look at the Cross, look at my heart that was pierced for you. Have you not understood my Cross ? Then listen again to the words I spoke there for they tell you clearly why I endured all this for you : I THIRST...(Jn 19:28) Yes, I thirst for you - as the rest of the psalm verse I was praying says of me: I looked for love and I found none (Ps 29:20)

All your life I have been looking for your love. I have never stopped seeking to love you and be loved by you. You have tried many other things in your search for happiness; why not try opening your heart to me right now, more than you ever have before ?

Whenever you do open the door of your heart, whenever you come close enough , you will hear me say to you again and again, not in mere human words, but in Spirit : No matter what you have done, I love you for your own sake. Come to me with your misery and your sins, with your troubles and needs, and with all your longing to be loved. I stand at the door of your heart --- open to me for I THIRST FOR YOU

Raven, does this sound like someone that will cast you aside because your faith isnt 100% perfect? NO way. YOu belong to Jesus, end of story.

Therapy does not stifle the fears. Therapy will support you in facing your fears and habituating to the thoughts that bother you. The therapy that is evidence based is Cognitive Behavioral. I use this with my cleints and most get a lot better. The ones who do not get better do not do what I ask them to do. OCD treatment is supported by much research. Be encouraged and look for the proper help.

The worst thing anyone can do for an OCD sufferer is to give reassurance. That actually reinforces the fear even though it may make the person feel better momentarilly. If you have OCD..you would help yourself by not looking for or asking for reassurance.
