I watched that speech too and can tell you that the decline in the US is spiritual 1st and that has effected our standard of living. I am not anti Trump or pro Trump I look at each issue individually. So we have now less regulation and more credit so there is more investing. The Bible teaches a principal the the borrowe is slave to the lender. In the laws for Israel that God says will bring national blessing for obedience and curses for breaking it found in Lev 26 and Duet 28 we see that one element is you will be the tail and not the head, which is explained you will be the borrower and not the lender. So did Trump site the over 1 trillion a year budget shortfall that has no end in sight? Did he mention the already 23 trillion the US is in debt and offer any idea how we can sustain this financial imbalance? We have had 9 years of manipulated economic stimulus which has re-inflated all the same bubble larger than the crash in 2006. In this decade of supposedly good times we have watched the homeless encampments spread ever larger and they are certainly now permanent fixtures in the nation much like the slums of Brazil. Now normal economic cycles are 7 years up then down. We are overdue for the next down cycle. My Bible teaches God resists the proud and give grace to the humble and Trump would be better off showing up at Davos in sackclothe and ashes and confess the sins of the nation and call people to call on the LORD for mercy. I see the tribulation described in Rev 6 as the global forecast when the dollar is finally allowed to collapse.

I have studied economics and prophecy and we are on the cusp of what Isaiah 61 describes as Jesus mission. 1st half is bringing in the acceptable year of the LORD, this is about over then comes the day of vengeance of our God.
Daniel speaking of the end times notes both sinister schemes and many being destroyed in their prosperity.
3 “And in the latter time of their kingdom,
When the transgressors have reached their fullness,
A king shall arise,
Having fierce features,
Who understands sinister schemes.
24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;
He shall destroy fearfully,
And shall prosper and thrive;
He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.
25 “Through his cunning
He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;[fn]
And he shall exalt himself in his heart.
He shall destroy many in their prosperity.
He shall even rise against the Prince of princes;
But he shall be broken without human means.[fn]
26 “And the vision of the evenings and mornings
Which was told is true;
Therefore seal up the vision,
For it refers to many days in the future.”
Every dollar created is created through a new loan. Growing debt now equals prosperity so when credit stops flowing the ponzi scheme falls in on its own weight. The fuse is short and if morality is a parallel indicator it is nigh.
