I can only imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth had it been President Obama.
And that's without him picking on athletes and calling them names for improper displays of patriotism....

It probably didn't mean much to him when he was in school so it was easily forgotten. He had no desire to be in the military.
No, but he liked the pomp and ceremony.

I would say any vote that absolves you of responsibility for electing Trump was worth it.

My conscience is clear. There is no way I would have voted for either him or Clinton. I still think they are both vile and corrupt. I thought it was a sad time for America since these two candidates were the best their political parties could produce to officially nominate for president. Concerning Trump, if he was the best candidate the religious GOP could produce to represent them, then I can only guess that gaining political power and sustaining that power was more important to them than anything else in their life, perhaps even more important than their spiritual beliefs, values, and moral convictions.

Trump isn't a uniformed service member. So, how is that disrespect on his part?
Didn’t read the whole link, huh. Read the whole article in the OP link and you get the information about what a civilian should do.

So? That doesn't mean it was disrespect on the part of Trump. He's not a uniformed service member and he was in the middle of an interview. Maybe there was a time limit on the interview. There could've been a million things. Again, this is petty. It's sad to me that people watch every move he makes, waiting for a single slip up (which this wasn't) so they can go report it to the world.
The interview was more important. Thanks for the clarification.

I am sorry for my constant defense of Trump.
There is a difference between regretting being caught versus repenting (having a true change of heart).

He went to New York Military Academy. I think he knew what that song was and what it meant. He's not a uniformed officer, so he wasn't required to stand and salute. Come on with this petty crap already.
Supporting Trump's crap is the petty crap.

You're being deliberately petty and difficult. You know there is no duty here. There was no 'supposed to' about it. He wasn't a uniformed service member.
Actually there is. It's spelled out in the OP. So who is really the one being petty and difficult? Your mirror has the answer.

Might have to agree with this. Trump is too ignorant to know that what he was/wasn't doing was a snub.

I can concede that this may be true about Trump being too ignorant to know what he's doing. I thought I could reconsider my thoughts on Trump's intellect after I read articles like these.
