Dear Beloved in Christ,
Each year I contact the area where the Super Bowl resides and present a week long prayer event for those that suffer from human trafficking after listening to an Ancient Faith Radio presentation from speaker Tony Nassif, “An Orthodox Christian Leads the Fight Against Human Trafficking”. In his presentation he speaks of events such as these that bring more victims to their fate of suffering.
So, this year the event starts on Sunday, January 26th and ends February 3rd right after the Super Bowl. Those that participate send up a prayer on their behalf each day. I started doing this five years ago in 2016. I pray many will join in this pray event for those that are suffering from abuse in many forms not just human trafficking.
For the Orthodox Christian churches in the Miami area I sent them the, Protection of the Mother of God, prayer. Any heartfelt prayer will do sending up to God on their behalf.
God's many blessings to you.
In Christ,
Donna
A Prayer for the End of Human Trafficking
God of freedom, beauty and truth
we believe that your deepest desire,
your most powerful energy,
is that all creation might know abundant life.
We raise our voices in anguished prayer
for our sisters and brothers,
women and girls, men and boys,
who are modern day slaves;
They are your beloved daughters and sons,
exploited sexually or forced to work
because of human violence and greed.
Fill us with your holy anger and your sacred passion
that those who are trafficked might know healing and justice;
that traffickers will come to repentance and conversion;
that all of us might live in such a way
that others are not made to pay the price
for our comfort and convenience.
Hasten the coming of the day when all people
and our precious Earth itself
will be treated, not as a commodity,
but as radiant images of your freedom, beauty and truth.
Amen. May it be so.
