  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Prayers needed for my husband and family please!!!

UPDATES:
10/7:
My husband will be going in tomorrow for an Ultrasound, and a visit with a GI Specialist immediately after that. Please pray that we are able to find the cause of his problems and/or move forward in the diagnosis so that we can figure out what he needs to do to correct the problem. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us already. We greatly appreciate the continuing prayers!

10/4
My husband just received a call from his doctor. Seems the tests they did show that his levels are still high. And, he is still getting heartburn like chest pains, so the doctor is going to be giving us a call back in a little bit to see what we should do about it. Not sure if it will be more tests, or what.

UPDATE: 10/4 -- AFTERNOON:
Our doctor called back and he will be going in for more tests this Monday, and a visit to a specialist next week after the Ultrasound. He had more blood drawn this afternoon, so they will keep an eye on things while we wait for the other tests...
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Please pray that we find out what is wrong, and that we can get his levels to go back to normal.

Thank you so much for your prayers, I appreciate it!
God Bless,
Tange

Hi everyone! I come to my fellow prayer warriors today to request prayers for my husband, myself and our family. The short version is that I had to take him to the ER this morning with chest pains. Thank the LORD it was not his heart, but he was diagnosed as having Non-Alcoholic Pancreatitis (sp?). For the full version of what is going on and specifics of what the doctors said and such please visit the thread I posted in the Prayer Requests forum. You can access the thread at this link:
Husband diagnosed with Pancreatitis This Morning

Thank you in advance for your prayers! I greatly appreciate them!

God bless,

Praise the Lord, I have some good news to share!

We visited with the doctor today who figured out what was causing the chest pain my husband was experiencing. It seems that the cartilige joints that attach the ribs to the sternum are sore which is causing the pain in his chest. So, we are grateful that the doctor was able to set our minds at ease regarding the pain.

Another issue my husband was worried about (a bulge in his abdomen) turns out to be an unfortunate side effect from his abdominal muscles weakening while he was laid up with his back. This kind of thing usually affects older people, but can be hereditary as well. It is nothing serious though and should have no effect on his health in the future, either...

As for the Pancreatitis... We are cautiously optimistic given the fact that he is not experiencing any abdominal pain right now. More blood tests were taken today to rule out the possibility that it is progressively worsening (which usually happens within 24 hours). We will find out the results of today's blood tests tomorrow, and as long as the enzyme levels have either stabilized, and/or lowered we will be able to follow-up again with more tests next week. There is some concern that something he experienced last February that was diagnosed as an intestinal bacterial infection might have actually been a case of acute Pancreatitis that was overlooked/mis-diagnosed. However, as of right now he is NOT experiencing abdominal pain so that is a VERY good sign...

The doctor has also said that if the tests come back good he will be able to return to work tomorrow which is a great relief as we were just catching up from his being off for 6 months with his back...

My whole family thanks you for your prayers, and we greatly appreciate your continued prayers as well!

Thank you Lord for watching over my husband and my entire family. Lord, please abundantly bless my friends here who have prayed to you on our behalf. They are a great blessing to me! I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, your son, my Lord and Savior... Amen.

More good news to share!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!

The blood tests taken yesterday show the levels to be down 10 whole points! They are still well above normal, but on a downward trend which is VERY good!!! My husband is still non-symptomatic from the pancreatitis so that is even BETTER news!

Praise the Lord our God for he truly works miracles! For my husband NOT to be in pain right now with the pancreatitis is amazing, and a HUGE blessings. As is the chest pain that brought him into the ER in the first place. We cannot figure out how he could've possibly hurt his ribs as he is still not allowed to lift anything over 20 lbs. from his back surgery?!?! Perhaps this was God's way of getting him to go to the doctor, and showing us something was wrong in another area!!! (God surely knows how stubborn my hubby is!)

Well, anyway your continued prayers that the downward trend continues till he is back to normal is appreciated! We will be going in for follow-up tests with his normal doctor this coming Monday...

Thank you so much for all of your prayers!

God bless all of you!
