  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

I’m a mom of 2 girls (aged 3 & 6) and we are officially homeless and sleeping in my car as of about three weeks now and I’m at the end of my rope. I don’t get outside help, it’s just me and my girls, which has been really difficult, but I’ve managed until recently. Covid has just caught up with me. Shelters in my area and surrounding areas are consistently full, but I continue to call 3-5x per day as suggested. Still no luck, especially with two kids.

I feel like I’ve let my kids down and it kills me inside to watch them sleep in the back seat and have empty bellies, all because I’m failing at being a good mom. I’m not feeling sorry for myself, I’m just disappointed in my inability to keep a roof over their heads and provide even something as basic as food some days. If you’re a parent, you can identify. Anyway, I know we will be okay once I can bring in at least 1-2 full time paychecks. But for now, I have basically nothing to my name, which means no money toward shelter (even a cheap motel room) or food at any point. I know things have to get better, but at this moment I feel like I'm drowning. I've prayed every night for a way out of this, but it just seems impossible. I'm open to advice or conversation to just try and figure things out, my inbox is open for that. If you can, just please keep us in your prayers.

We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

Rescue Missions provide daily meals 3x a day. You should try to get there to get meals.

Gods ears are more open to our prayers at times of great struggle.

    Exodus 22 says..

You must not mistreat any widow or orphan. 23If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to Me in distress, I will surely hear their cry. 24My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword

If I were you I would first start praying 3 times a day asking for the Lords deliverance. Be sure not to blame God or hold back from confessing any sin. Confessing any known sin is necessary before we can pray with faith.

Also there are social services that do help in these situations. Do you have food stamps? You should be able to get food stamps and cash assistance and housing assistance. They might be able to give you $1000 a month depending on where you are.

Also situations like this are why it is best to have a church family that you can turn to in times like this. It is hard for people on the internet who are not there with you in your situation to really give you the help you need.

I would suggest writing out an email telling your full situation and sending it to 5 or 10 churches a day in your area and keep doing that till one of them helps you at least with some sort of temporary housing.

Long term there are many many men in the church who are desperate for a wife who will actually be a wife.

Lastly I find that listening to the bible on audio gives me great joy in times of trial.

I use the youversion app and the esv version. Almost all of them have a free audio option though.

These passages are the greatest comfort to me.

    John 6
    John 14-17
    Ephesians 1-2
    Psalm 103
    Isaiah 53
    Psalm 97, 48, 23, 75,91, 146, 147

Praying God will give you the mercy you need.

I pray for you to be given wisdom and guidance and insight to know what to do.

I pray that holy angels will be sent out to help you in every way.

I am wondering if somehow the father can be made responsible for supporting the children.

I agree with Michie to search for a rescue mission who might offer both food and some form of shelter. Do you qualify for government aide? If not, find a church who can help. What state do you live in?
