As a Christian I know we should watch our tempers. I lost mine today and am feeling very condemned. I know what the word says but I just feel as a seasoned saint I shouldn't have yielded to temptation.

This was about something in our family that has been going on for years. It blew up tonight.
I have repented ,but feel like I let God down.
Advice needed. I don't want to be out of fellowship with God.

Sorry to hear. It's possible you may have missed out on a breakthrough or a test or God may be revealing it so you can at least find whats still deeply rooted within to be removed. It happens. What the devil meant for evil, God meant for our good. (Genesis 50:20).

Ask the Lord in prayer to bridle your tongue, and to max out the strength to resist any form of anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, contention, strife, profanity, vulgarity and whatever else the Holy Spirit leads you to speak in Yahushua's (Jesus) name. The spirit (Leviathan) loves to stir up arguments.

Also try meditating and feeding on some of these scriptures daily for about a week to give your spirit more control: Ephesians 4:31-32, James 1:19-20, Proverbs 29:11, Proverbs 19:11, Ecclesiastes 7:9, Proverbs 15:18, Colossians 3:8, James 4:1-2, Proverbs 16:32, Proverbs 22:24, Matthew 5:22, Proverbs 14:29, Proverbs 15:1, Proverbs 20:3, Proverbs 16:28, Psalm 31:20, Proverbs 10:12, Proverbs 26:21

Here's a link to see them all at once: Bible Gateway passage: Ephesians 4:31-32, James 1:19-20, Proverbs 29:11, Proverbs 19:11, Ecclesiastes 7:9, Proverbs 15:18, Colossians 3:8, James 4:1-2, Proverbs 16:32, Proverbs 22:24, Matthew 5:22, Proverbs 14:29, Proverbs 15:1, Proverbs 20:3, Proverbs 16:28, Psalm 31:20, Proverbs 10:12, Proverbs 26:21 - King James Version

Also at the bottom of this web page has a link to a PDF for prayers on deliverance from Leviathan

It's always a bad feeling when you look back and wish you hadn't of done something. It will pass.

Romans 2 is Paul's great treatise on repentance, which he links with 'the goodness of God'.

First come Godward relations, then manward ones. :)

1 John 1 is a great chapter about Godward/manward relations.

You haven’t let God down, you’re letting yourself down. Condemnation is not helping,
You blew a fuse, ok, God, I lost my self control and I’m sorry. Pick yourself up and move on
