My father is staying with my mother for the next few nights.

He says that she will be taken to a closer-to-home rehab center within the next couple days.

My mom is slowly regaining her speach as well as the use of her right arm and leg....
It will still be several months before she even partially recovers...

UPDATE on my mother - she is now home !!!
Praise be to God !!!
Shes walking extremely well - almost normal !!
However we still have a little work to do with her speach and her right arm...
so your prayers are still greatly appreciated...

Its been almost 3 months now, she is home and almost back to normal.  She can walk normal now and her arm/speech is at aobut 65% so with the good Lord willing things will turn out for the best
