After Hurricane Andrew wiped out South Florida August 1992 there were countless "organizations" that came in... most did not help much at all. But Ross Perot gave the Salvation Army an entire shopping strip plaza , rebuilt it, and moved them into the middle of the chaos in very short time, and they did a "world" of good (should I say heavenly?) I gladly pray for them, and for other organizations to be like them. (Samaritan's Purse is also great.)

Yes it was... they took over the whole strip, corner in the devastated area. IDK if Perot bought it and gave it to them, or bought it and fixed it up for them to use only.

I was a 20 year volunteer with the ARC, spent hours in line only to get nothing for my mom (who needed a recliner of some sort to get her feet up. Others in line were getting housing, full wardrobes, food, bills paid.... we got only 2 vouchers for sneakers, which we used on 1 pair.

Perot's actions not only helped so many, but even though we were too exhausted to try for more assistance, seeing what he did cheered our hearts.

Actions are important. We must all do our best for Christ!

I agree about actions. God bless Ross Perot for taking the actions he took, and for organizations that genuinely help when it's needed. (((hug)))
