Why did God create so many names for Himself, and why did He choose to reveal them to us in great detail and beauty? Ah, the mystery is solved as Kay Arthur takes the fifteen primary names of Jehovan and shows us how to "run into" the name that meets our deepest needs!
When I am in need, I run into Jehovan-Jireh: The Lord will provide. When sick, I run into Jehovah-Rapha: The Lord my healer: When fear overwhelms me, I run into Jehovah-Shalom: The Lord my peace. When I am lonely and depressed, I run into Jehovan-Shamah: The Lord is there.
As she considers name after name, revealing how each meets us at the point of our need, Kay Arthur lifts our spirit into heavenly places by showing how each name demonstrates another facet of God's great character, love and concern for us, His children. From her own inspirational testimony she shares:
Time and again I have found Him to be my
all-sufficient God. My protector. The unconditional
lover of my soul.
He held me through my divorce. He held me
as a single parent overwhelmed by loneliness and
the crush of responsibility. He has held me
through times of great financial need. He has
held me when I have failed. He has held me when
I have wept for my children. He has held me
when I felt overwhelmed by all that I had to do.
Kay concludes this thought with a most comforting
word:
Oh Beloved, do you understand? Have you
experienced Him as your "El Shaddai" : your a
all sufficient one? If not, He is waiting, arms open
wide for you!
Of curse, God has many more name that these
fifteen. There are at least 365 names-one for
each day of the year! And they all point to
that One Name that is "above all others"--
yes, the angel told Mary, "Thou shalt call
his name Jesus: for he shall save his people
from their sins" (Matthew 1:21)
The strains of a sweet, old hymn flood my soul
as I contemplate that precious name--
The name of Jesus is so sweet,
I love its music to repeat,
It makes my life full and complete,
That precious name of Jesus.
The chorus concludes--
Jesus, oh how sweet the name,
Jesus, everyday the same,
Jesus, let all saints proclaim,
That worthy name forever!
The Peace and Power of Knowing Gods Name is a book that will not only bless you, it will pull you through every struggle and battle of this pilgrimate to victory!
Thank you dear Kay Arthur, for opening your heart and helping to show the way.

Where do you run when the predators of trouble, worry and fear pursue you?
Where do you hide when your past pursues you like a relentless wolf, seeking your destruction?
Where do you seek protection when the weasels of temptation, corruption and evil threatens to overtake you?
Where do you turn when yor energy is spent, when weakness saps you, and you feel you cannot run away any longer?
Do you turn to your Protector, the One who stands with arms open wide, waiting for you to come and huddle in the security of all He is?
The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
The righteous runs into it and is safe.
(Proverbs 18:10)
Is the Lord your strong tower? Is His name your fortress in a time of weariness or attack or great distress?

The Lord My Shepherd
Come. let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker,
For He is our God.
And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand.
