my dad is a drunk. My mom and my brother flew off to chicago for the day so now my dad is hammered out of his mind. please pray for him to change his ways

Alcoholism is a disease of metabolism . Some people have a gene that processes sugar a little differently. It causes a tendency for alcoholism. ( it runs in my family which is why I don’t drink)
Your father is going to want to stop drinking before he’ll stop.. In the meantime look out for your own safety - emotionally, physically and financially . I’m praying too

I pray that God speaks to him and shows him what he is becoming
And offers a hand out of it
6 years ago, He sent the truth of the matter into my mind:
"you are just another drunk at the bar"
And later when I entered AA, He told me
"the people you say you love, you can love them better sober"
When I held a recovery coin in my hand the first time, it said
"to thine own self be true"
And I knew I wanted that and knew it would never happen if I drank again
When I heard the 12 promises of AA
I knew they were what was missing
When I thought that God didn't do miracles
He showed me that were some already prepared for me
And waiting.
May your father be granted the same awakening I had
And allow God to rework his soul into the image it was intended to be.

I pray for your father to be healed from alcoholism, and also for healing for you and the rest of your family for what you have been through.
