Job 5:19 He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.
love it! brother..

Look who keeps us..

Suprise!

1 Corinthians 1:8
He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Jude,
a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James,
To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:

Jude:24
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy

No that we ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God and anyone who says he doesn't sin, the truth is not in him. Therefore we have an advocate with the father, through Christ the only righteous one!

There is a big difference between doing sins on purpose and hiding behind a few scriptures.
And sinning while confessing and striving not to sin.

Scripture is never false, but people can be.

God calls me righteous because I am washed in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:3
For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.

Amen!! We have that confidence!

Spiritually yes we do! I can't agree with you more. But aren't we talking about sin in this thread? The ones we physically commit that somehow separate us from God? And somehow he doesn't hear our prayer?

Physically speaking...no one can say that he is righteous...and no one can say they do not sin.

That's right...and all the law abiding and sacrifices didn't cut it either...that's why he sent his son to bridge the gap. Nothing can separate us from the love of God now. Christ took our sins to the cross with him...therefore they no longer are an obstacle because of Christ! Christ is our advocate...the Holy spirit intercesses. All our prayers are heard...sin or no sin...because Christ took that sin.

A Christian is heard.

A Christian can cause his prayers to go aground by sin, and by praying amiss. We must always do as Christ modeled in prayer: confess and go to God with a pure heart and clean hands.

Psalm 24:3-6
Who may climb the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
Only those whose hands and hearts are pure,
who do not worship idols
and never tell lies.
They will receive the Lord’s blessing
and have a right relationship with God their savior.
Such people may seek you
and worship in your presence, O God of Jacob.

Psalm 18:24
Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness,
According to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.

We can call ourselves righteous in Christ because God calls us that.

As far as sin--yes we sin and it is undealt-with, unconfessed sin and sinful heart attitudes that hinder our prayers. It can stop answers and it can delay them or cancel out what we ask altogether.

And you're point is??

The problem is, that people think that committing sin means that our prayers aren't heard...and that's not true PERIOD!

Oh and BTW some of us don't HAVE to strive not to sin because we choose to walk in the spirit and not the flesh/law...so sin isn't really an issue unless one stops leaning on Christ and starts trying to go it themselves...then sin has a field day.

I heard this stuff that is in the op,25 years ago!

Same old thing..

I thought this was true..

Matthew 11:30
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

These teachings feed the flesh for some,or produce guilt or striving for others...

I cant help it that you lost the gun control debate with me..

But lets stay on topic now,no getting personal please.:)

No I didn't. I won it, you answered less than half of my questions, from the get go you never knew where I agreed and disagreed with you, most of the interaction was based on your false assumptions and my attempts to clarify.

Though you think you won it your actually debating style leaves a lot to be desired.

You're contradicting yourself. You say that are righteous in
Christ...but then you say we must have a pure heart and clean hands and can only get that by confessing...otherwise our prayers don't get heard.

Well I say that yes we are righteous in Christ and we do have a pure heart and clean hands because our robe is pure and spotless and washed in his blood.

Yes we confess our sins but it's not us that prays anyway! The righteous part in us is what prays via the Holy Spirit. And christ is our advocate! He made a way that our prayers can be heard DESPITE our sin...that's the whole point of dying on the cross so that he can bridge that gap between us and our father that sin has created.

Well in my own walk, and many others I personally know, I have experienced the quenching of the Spirit due to my own stupidity. Yes, God is with us. Yes, He will never abandon us or forsake us... but when I've shut my ears to Him then He doesn't force His words onto me. And the times when I have prayed while believing--erroneously-- that God is mad at me because of my sin, I don't see much in the way of answered prayer because I do not believe He'll answer them.
Other times, that block is not there and I experience great communion and intimacy with the Father.
I understand your point..:)

It is just very different than my experience.

It just seem that I find he is the sustainer of my walk...

I suppose it all comes down to this..

To those who think they are keeping them selves..they are..

To those who think He is keeping them..He is..:)

I enjoy your posts, and looking foward to more chatting with ya bro.

God bless!

I don't contradict what God says. Listen...there are those who call themselves Christians and walk in the ways of the world. Then there are faithful ones.

God rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Carnal Christians' sins are hindered. Heard, but hindered.

Ok,this the last off topic post, out of respect to ax..

you said you wanted Gun control.

Then you said it was good the farmer killed to defend his family..

Then when I asked you..

How could he have done that,if he was disarmed by the gov?

You then had some sort of spin..

Thank you,case closed.

Lets stay on topic.:)

Lovely...

All contingent on us remaining in the vine--abiding. Walking away from God puts you in harm's way. We've all seen it.

ya know sis...

With all do respect...

It is time for you to enter rest..:)

Your constantly over identified with fear,or your flesh..or the devil,or falling...

Really...it is time for you to know who you are in Christ.

The sin consciousness is because of the law..

The law strengthens,sin,and produces wrath...

Basically stress and fear.It produces turmoil, that can even produce anger, because of frustration.

Romans 4:15
because law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.

What wrath means in the greek, notice the effects on the soul.

1) anger, the natural disposition, temper, character
2) movement or agitation of the soul, impulse, desire, any violent
emotion, but esp. anger
3) anger, wrath, indignation
4) anger exhibited in punishment, hence used for punishment itself
4a) of punishments inflicted by magistrates

Grace is the opposite.:)

I am not a fearful believer. In fact I am the exact opposite. I am an intercessor. Some are called to spiritual warfare, others not.

I know who I am in Christ.

ok:)

I was just pointing out, that these types of posts, can strees out some, buy putting an undue burden on some believers.

Those ascendant ones, were the ones to be lucky enough to know there prayers cracked the rock, and only those strong saints were heard.
