The protests reportedly concern Father Kuforiji's decision to remove unauthorized changes to the liturgy which had become common in the parish over previous years, and to take down a sign at the entrance to the church saying "Immigrants and Refugees Welcome."

Portland Parish Protests New Priest’s Policies

There are sick parishes that are in need of healing. I am reminded of the liberation of concentration camps during World War 2 where soldiers were told not to feed prisoners their rations. Some people were starved for so long that they could not handle rations, food for regular people.

It a challenge for a priest to pastor a parish that has been poisoned spiritually. It is the priest that has poisoned their parishes in deciding to implement unorthodox changes to the Mass and other bizarre practices. They make the Mass less about Christ and more about their ability to defy the Church.
