"ROME — Pope Francis insists in a new book things will never be the same in a post-pandemic world, calling instead for the establishment of a “new world order.”

In a book-length interview with journalist Domenico Agasso titled God and the World to Come, scheduled for release in Italian on Tuesday, the pontiff reiterates his case for the Great Reset with a shift away from financial speculation, fossil fuels, and military build-up toward a green economy based on inclusiveness.

After the coronavirus pandemic, “no one today can afford to rest easy,” the pope declares in a lengthy extract from the book published by Vatican News. “The world will never be the same again. But it is precisely within this calamity that we must grasp those signs which may prove to be the cornerstones of reconstruction.”

From the article:

“Right now, it is a matter of rebuilding from the rubble,” the pope suggests, a task that involves those in government as well as the rest of the population.

“It is time to remove social injustice and marginalization,” he states. “If we seize the current trial as an opportunity, we can prepare for tomorrow under the banner of human fraternity, to which there is no alternative, because without an overall vision there will be no future for anyone.”

Part of the Great Reset also entails an end to the arms race, he adds.

“It is no longer tolerable to continue to manufacture and traffic in arms, expending huge amounts of capital which should be used to treat people and save lives.”

“Against this planetary discord that is nipping the future of humanity in the bud, we need political action that is the fruit of international harmony,” he declares, urging for an end to “short-sighted nationalism” and other forms of “political selfishness” in favor of multilateral solutions."

Sounds right to me. I don't think it will happen, but it would be a good thing.

It's strange, but good on Breitbart for publishing something worth reading, for once.

First, the government swoops in to 'save us' by bankrupting the system. Then, the WEF comes along to 'save us' with their new system with the 'Great Reset.'
Moreover, with their 2030 agenda right around the corner, this pandemic happened right when it was supposed to.

"Against this planetary discord that is nipping the future of humanity in the bud..."

God, not planetary discord, is going to nip the future of humanity in the bud...with fire!

"...we need political action that is the fruit of international harmony..."

Babel fantasy redux, nothing more. From Scripture we know this "international harmony" is ripe for demonic energizing. Why doesn’t the Pope seem to know that?

"...he declares, urging for an end to “short-sighted nationalism” and other forms of “political selfishness” in favor of multilateral solutions."

God instituted "nationalism" at Babel. Was He short-sighted? Acts 17:26-27 contains His plan, maybe the Pope ought to check it out. Our God-given sense of self-preservation and keeping of boundaries is not tantamount to "political selfishness".

God uses everyone (saint and sinner). Christ now holds the keys of death and life will use kings, princes, principalities, popes, man, politics, etc to bring about the end of days and the return of Christ who will trample everyone of his foes under foot. Death being the last foe and then the Holy City in Rev 21 will descend from heaven.

Christ the KING of kings and Lord of lord's is a vengeful King, yet altogether lovely.

Song of Solomon 5:16

Interesting! Now all he has to do is call for a one-world monetary system and a central figure to be the ruler of the whole world.

Politics in the hierarchy of the church cannot be a good thing for the church.

When a 'church' like the RCC claims to be the only church, it takes on another identity. Its been happening since the 4th century AD. An identity different to the 7 churches John was shown in Revelation 1, where Christ is in the midst off.

Many 'churches', people and nations today have grown in pride thinking they are something special. They forget/ignore that God detestes pride, arrogance, haughtiness, in the same way he detested Satan for trying to usurp his (God's) authority.

I, too, am cynical (seems to be my theme today). But you never know. Words from people of influence can change things, perhaps.

This has been coming together for some time. It's no surprise. I just hope Christians wake up to what's happening, before it's too late.

What, exactly, is happening?

I don't know the future like that. I gather that is based on a particular reading of scattered apocalyptic passages. I'm not going to take you to task for that.

What I wonder is if you think the things the Pope is proposing are somehow not good. If you agree they are good, would you support them if they could be obtained?

Doncha know? The pope is going to force Sunday worship and forbid the SDA from worship on Saturday. This is the beginning. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Ellen White of the SDA warned about exactly this.

Perhaps, he's not as well liked, or respected as Benedict the 16th, and both of them have far less clout than John Paul the II, who actually made the Soviet Union tremble.

I guess we will see.
