Context. The previous verses say the foundation is truth from the Father, not from man.

Man coming up with an idea/truth then finding a verse to back it does not make it so. That is the exact thing Jesus was talking about, truth from God and not from man. Yet man has successfully redefined it for centuries because people are ignoring the previous verses about truth not coming from man, but God alone.. while accepting man's truth.
