Poll: Should Republicans come up with actual positions or keep using the Boogeyman?

I have been bombarded by scores of negative ads that just highlight how much the candidate stood against Obama and Hillary and they have offered nothing of substance other than they were against something 4,6 or 8 years ago. Should we move away from this and attempt to bring the greatness of the past Republicans or just keep pointing out that Soros was a general in the SS that killed millions of his own people and is Hillary’s secret boyfriend.

Absolutely. The Contract with America, where Republicans had clearly stated objectives, led to a Republican dominance in government which lasted until George Bush failed to seriously follow through with campaign promises in any meaningful fashion.

Like it or not, the Republicans (of the two major parties) are the only ones advocating much in the way of new or better government policies at the moment.

Maybe that will change in time--who knows?--but that is the way it is now.

The other party put all its chips on bringing down the government and seems determined to double down on that one idea each time it experiences a setback.
