Since the election is over, we are loosening the rule about political threads here. Now they don't have to be specifically about the faith, but they cannot oppose the faith.
For example, you can discuss the election or the issues. But you can't promote abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia, etc.
We will be enforcing the flaming rule, which includes prohibitions against maliciously flaming public figures, including politicians. Keep your criticisms grounded in reality. Back up your claims with reputable sources. When you disagree with each other, tackle their arguments, not them personally.
Some recent threads that were closed under the old policy may be reopened if they are not too far gone in flaming.
The Statement of Purpose has been updated to reflect this change:
With the election is over, let's come together as Christians to heal and work for the betterment of our great nation, the greatest nation on earth.

This forum is for the discussion of political issues, within the context of the Catholic faith. Discussion of political issues unrelated to the Catholic faith is allowed, but posters will be held to a high standard of behavior. Non Catholics and Non Christian guests are allowed to debate politics in this forum. However, members and guests may not argue against the Catholic faith, it's ministers and prelates, or to promote views contrary to the Catholic faith, such as abortion or gay marriage.
