That's mind numbingly ignorant. I mean... I just... seriously??
There were a significant number of Louisiana republicans that said they were disappointed with how Obama and Jindal handled Katrina.

Let that statement sink in for a moment.

Ask any lawyer how a contract like that would hold up in court...

Well & 50 Shades of Gray is fictional. But even in the fictional version they get consent. Why wouldn't the contract showing consent hold up in court?
Trump wasn't talking about consent. He was bragging about just assaulting women bc he is a "star."

Because she could claim he did things to her that he didn't specifically consent to, or that she changed her mind five minutes later and render the whole contract moot. If the contract contained promises not to take legal action against Grey, the judge would throw it out like a dog turd in the living room as "unconscionable".

Precisely the point. A contract means nothing if there isn't court in the world that would enforce it.
The point is to demonstrate in the FICTIONAL work, that there was consent. Not whether or not the fictional contract was legally valid.

True, and rightly so, in the real world. But it was a work of fiction, not a legal essay on contract law.

You know what else? I thought Dexter was a fun book. Doesn't mean I thinķ seriaĺ killers are ok.

How about private conversations about them?

Lewd words in a novel published and distributed to the public is not offensive, but lewd words in a private conversation is?

Aren't a lot of people into kinky sex stuff? Christians have written about that here! Consent is EVERYTHING. That meme about 50 Shades is one of the stupidest ever.

1. It's fictional 2. Wasn't the guy in the story like a genius billionaire with a team of lawyers around? I think he could word it in a way that it would hold up in court. 3. If it was all consensual then she probably wouldn't bring it to court. 4. Didn't they make like 4 sequels about this couple? So she keeps staying with him. 5. Back to point 1. It's fictional. Donald was talking about sexually assaulting women irl.

Was he? Evidence? Trump expressly denied that at last night's debate.

The man lied so many times in the debate, there's evidence of that. So why believe him when he said he didn't do what he said he did?

Frankly, I DO think it's a bit of a beat up. We've ALL said things in private that we wouldn't want made public. That said, if this was an isolated incident of Trump saying something objectionable, that would be one thing, but let's be honest here, this is just the latest data point in a pattern of behaviour that is pretty troubling.

Believe what you want to believe. Just don't confuse that belief with a fact.

Do you believe Hillary Clinton when she denied threatening Juanita Broderick to stop her from coming forward with rape allegations against her husband.

Wait... has Hillary Clinton ever actually denied that?

Exactly! You should follow that yourself. There are more than enough facts about how Trump has treated women, & that trumps feelings & beliefs about him. It's a fact not a belief that he lies constantly & lied a ton in that debate. He either lied on the tape where he bragged about what he did to women, or he lied when he said he didn't do it.

Anyway the meme was idiotic & has been given too much attention already.
