The whole point of working is to better yourself and that only happens if works pays. a lot of people tend to be no better off working than on welfare so its not a surprise that some may feel less motivated to work.

Of course the best way to fix this IS to make work pay for everybody.

I would say that when you have politics without religious input, that is when you get the most nasty stuff.

I disagree.

You tend to get a more tolerant society for everyone. Of course once you start mixing religion you get discrimination (especially in regards to women) and other nasty stuff and generally less freedoms. Having been given free will people have the right to choose to sin and when it comes to religious laws that right gets taken away from them

Sometimes they forget they go to church every Sunday and worship a two thousand year old socialist named Jesus who came from Nazareth and spend the rest of the week oposing stuff that benefit the less well off in society.

My view is All Christians should be liberal and vote democrat.

Conservative Christanity nearly made me want to quit the christian faith for good. I have non Christian liberal friends who are more Christ like than some at my church.

I cannot support any political party because then i would need to "stay informed", which would brainwash me with political propaganda. Politicians are not holy men. They are playing a worldly game of deception. Christians are supposed be separate from the world. Our game is faith and love. We only follow the Lord. We pray for all things and are content with all things.

The problem isn't voting, the problem is being brainwashed by political propaganda. Therefore voting isnt worth getting brainwashed.

I said to change things to FIT the Kingdom of God. If your complaint is that politicians are not preaching the gospel, then YOU become a politician and do so. Those who gripe about things but do nothing to change them are actually working for the enemy.

The bible should not be forced upon people through politics which is what fundermentals tend to do, hence why we end up with racist loons like Trump.

Politics force many things upon people, religion is only one of those things so why be so concerned about it. If you are a Christian then the Bible being present in government, although it is used as a political tool, isn't a bad thing, is it? God will use hirelings to get His message out, which I believe most preachers are. The message is good wherever it is found, even mangled. A hat with John 3:16 on it is better than a hat with a sports logo or a foul word on it.

Because of your closeness to the world and politics, you find it easy to say unkind things about those you oppose in leadership positions regardless of the Scripture that says, "Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority." How can we love our brother when we despise him and his politics?

This statement is absolutely not true! I do not vote and I care very much about morality. Let's turn this statement around so that we can see it in it true Christian light. Those Christians who vote for men to establish morality are saying that they do not believe in the trust and faith necessary to be a follower of Christ and feel that they have to take matters into their own hands. The morals you say you are fighting for are the morals which so-called Christians have been fighting for since the founding of this nation. If the political process is the method God wants to use to establish Heaven on earth it has failed miserably. Let the world govern the world and let God's word govern His children. When the Israelites demanded that Samuel give them a king like the other nations God told Samuel that they had not rejected Samuel but rather they had rejected God as their King. They too had taken matters into their own hands, and how has that turned out?

You really need to study God's word more before speaking what God would use his people for. The book of Daniel is a great example of how God used a devote person to better a heathen nation through his high position in a foreign government. Our goal should always be to bring the good news to the world. Daniel's honesty next to all the other corrupt officers was a shining example of his integrity instilled in his faith in the true God.

What Jesus taught was that if you have more than you need then give it to those who do need it.

Taxes are needed because the rich tend to be selfish and self serving. The rich are the causes of the majority of social problems found in society.

You only have a slave welfare class cause non liberal parties create inequality and poverty in society with policies that allow the rich to get richer at the expense of others in society and so. The problem with non liberal parties is that they do nothing to ensure work pays for everyone therefore you have this class of person that is in a constant cycle of poverty.

Says one from a church with a moto of "doing the most good" with the agenda of bringing social justice. If you put as much passion into studying all of what Jesus taught, you would not have such a hatred towards conservatives.

How about these words from Jesus, "The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want."

What you don't realize is that there is no benefit to give to the poor when what is given is forced taxation. The purpose of giving to the poor is much about teaching one to desire to help others. A government that socializes wealth distribution is playing god. It usurps the Church's role to help others as a sign of God's love.

The poor in this world sever a purpose. The rich in this world serve a purpose. Those in between also do. Abraham was a very rich person. He had slaves. Does the Bible condemn him for such?

If you study all of what Jesus taught, you would understand that he was not a socialist. None of his teachings encouraged any particular form of government. The Jews longed for him to lead a revolution against a very corrupt and oppressive government. Jesus only defended the Romans.

As to the fallacy of heaven being socialistic, scripture teaches that there will be differing levels in heaven and people will receive a reward based on their actions in this age.

It would be good for you to study up on the founding of this nation. George Washington had divine protection in battles such that he would live to be the first president of the greatest democracy in the world. As the Christian unity in this nation erodes, so will this nation. Those that promote division in the land are the tool of Satan.

Here is the way it is; not merely my opinion...

Now multiply all that by infinity and, hello, May 20th, 2017. Sophisticated technology, psychology and black magick/sorcery are the underpinnings of mind control. If you believe the lies you are being told about this being a "democracy" and that "voting" really matters, you need to really ask yourself this... why does it never really change? Why does it ALWAYS get worse and NEVER better?

The answer is: psychopathy. Psychopaths have learned how to manipulate reality to their advantage. Psychopaths rule because they are the most "gifted" liars who seek power. They need power to survive! And because of their dubious "skills," they take advantage of good, kind, generous Christians and non-Christians alike.

Characteristics of Psychopathy:

• Completely conscienceless and totally devoid of empathy.
• Strongly immoral, aggressive, callous and cunning.
• Very adept at manipulating others.
• Willing to engage in criminal conduct to get their way.
• Deceptive ability to appear benevolent and feign emotion.
• Complete absence of guilt or remorse for the harm they cause others.
• Denial / Rationalization / Transference of blame.
• Contempt toward others' feelings.
• Pathological lying.
• Refusal to accept responsibility for the consequences of their own actions.
• Believe they will never be brought to justice.

Ring any bells? I tell you that you can't and don't get to the top of the pyramid by being naive or truthful. Look at Gary Johnson (the last person I voted for three POTUS elections ago). He isn't stupid or naive. He told the truth, I believe. I think he would've made a great president. Did he stand a chance in hell of getting elected? The mind control machines are too powerful for most people. If you can't go for the jugular, they can't use you. Just look at what happens to people who tried telling the Truth at the top.

Anyone watch House of Cards? That's "the truth hiding in plain sight," only just a fragment of the criminality that is taking place in the US government. No mention of the CIA and their MK Ultra mind control programs of course. No mention of the CFR or the Trilateral Commission. I hate to sound patronizing but most of you probably don't even know what CFR stands for and yet there they are, powerful people colluding primarily in secret to shape your future and your reality. It is wheels within wheels within wheels... turning... behind your backs. 24/7/365. Under one acronym or another. On a "need to know" basis to keep everything tightly controlled.

The CIA took control of mainstream news in the very early 60's. The Washington Post was co-opted and Katherine Graham took control and their tentacles have spread to all but the most remote local news and a few anomalies. Her husband and co-owner was murdered. They called it suicide of course with optional smear campaign. Read Katherine The Great by Deborah Davis. The news agencies only report what they're told to report. Or report what lies their told to report. The CIA are masters at making stuff up, obfuscating the truth, and causing distractions so you don't look at what's really important (among other things like assassinations). Read Harlot's Ghost by Norman Mailer (great book/research).

So, should Christians ignore politics? Here it is. Ignore the world at your own peril and the peril of those you love, those you sympathize with, and the millions of people you don't even know, Christians and future Christians alike. How can one be truly happy in this world knowing that somewhere, someone is suffering greatly at the hands of the pharisees? Ignorance is the greatest evil in the world today. Ignorance will 100% guarantee that the evil of Satan will continue. Satan wants you to be ignorant. His minions are laughing at you if you are ignorant (therefore they laugh at most people). And now there's no excuse for it. Research is the key to everything I've said. Yes, you have to filter. You have to have "virus protection." You have you use logic and discernment. But please, Christians, stop believing the lies. Nothing is what they say it is and it's a lot worse because they operate with impunity.

For the longest time and until very recently, I thought God was too "other" to care about us. Actually its more of a case of some christian people voting for self gain rather than for something which is better for society as a whole. Conservatives are self serving and tend to vote on what will benefit them, liberals tend to vote on what is best for everybody. As a christian i feel its sinful myself to vote simply for self gain.

Forget about taxation. My gripe is with Christians who vote for and support stuff that cause poverty and divsion in society but sadly this has turned into an issue about tax and the old flawed Lazy poor argument which conservatives always like to peddle.
