This reminds me of the police being called on some kids playing basketball. Of course recognizing the call was ridiculous, the officer came back with some friends to play a friendly pickup game.

I would love all local municipalities to create laws in which you are liable for the costs of having an officer come out on a nonsense call to include the cost of overhead in supporting that officer...

You should be fined a $200 when you knowingly use the police as a harrassment vehicle for nonsense calls just because you don't like the neighbors.

These people are easy to suss out, if you track their calls, they end up calling the police easily a dozen times in a year which shows a clear pattern of abusing police time and energy and effort...

Some people get off on the power trip of "I'm gonna call the police on you!!!!"

These people need to be fined. Not only are they wasting police time but they are also PREVENTING police from addressing real emergencies that could happen at any moment...
