I don't think they like the idea of repenting. They think there is a better way.
That seems crazy, since Jesus clearly spoke about it and instructed his apostles to tell others to repent. Then Peter in Acts 2 address told those who were concerned that they needed to repent. Acts records that more than once.

Sin = mistake in the Greek context. Repent is to turn away from sin or simply to stop making mistakes.
Repenting can be simply stated as "to stop making mistakes".
So it's really strange when the concept of repenting seem to annoy some Christians. To stop making mistakes is a very good thing. To keep making mistakes on the otherhand is a bad thing. If anyone does something like it in a relationship despite what is being told, it maybe a sign they don't love you enough

No, that is not what I am saying. We are constantly faced with temptation. Sometimes we fail to resist. Well, hopefully the day comes we won't fail to resist.
