Please Pray for our friend's daughter

Our friends daughter (19) plays softball for her college...about 2 hours away from home. She was hit in the face with the ball today. Details are kinda slim, but it seems that her nose is broke and the way it broke made the Dr. worry about it maybe going into her brain. At about 5 this afternoon her parents were on their way up there and their daughter was on her way in for a CAT Scan. Please keep her in your prayers!

I am happy to pray for your friends daughter with you, I wish it were under better circumstances...poor thing, I know firsthand broken noses are no fun! and I also pray that the CT will be within normal. Well at least tell us that she won her game...after taking a beating like that to the face with the ball, please say they won I am holding your friends daughter in my thoughts and prayers and I hope all will be well! I can't tell you if they won their game or not, but will find out! I did get a bit of an update from her Mom (who had not yet seen her) a Dr. here in Tulsa was on the phone with the Dr. in KS and they decided it was best if she see a specialist...ASAP, the closest place to go was Joplin...Mom and dad got hte news while on their way to Kanasas so they had to head to Missouri. They were just getting there when I spoke with her. She was told her daughter has a broken eye socket, broken nose and 2 1/2 inch gash across her cheek bone. They hadn't done anything to the poor girl because they wanted to specialist to make the decisions. The only thing they did for her was give her pain meds...which she puked up. Anyway I am waiting for another update. Will keep you posted Thank you all for the prayers!

Thanks for the prayers everyone.

Just a quick update. Beth got out of surgery at about 1 this morning. Turns out her eye socket was the main concern. The Dr said it was much worse than he thought...but after looking at her again this morning said that he is really thrilled with how well it is looking already.

She is at her parents house here in town now. Seems to be doing okay. They DID win the ball game!

I am glad the doctor is happy with how it is healing...and I am happy to hear at least they won...poor thing though, no fun! I am praying still!
