I think because St. Patrick falls on the same day as St. Lazarus, in the East often one trumps the other, and the OP is right!

I like a lot of the Western pre-schism Saints. I have icons of St. Patrick, St. Columba of Iona (who my dad greatly admired), St. Brendan the Navigator, and St. Aiden of Lindisfarne (years ago I visited the ruined monastery there and saw the beautiful Lindisfarne Gospels), and have a set of books commemorating the Orthodox Saints of the British Isles.
