Could be. There's also a history of GOP-funded companies making up false claims about them using deceptively edited videos. One of those companies just got caught trying to slander a GOP senate candidate, too, so it isn't like it was an honest mistake.

The fetus is alive, that is it. All the qualities that people generally ascribe to a fetus are a dream.

I left Christianity a decade ago. Yet, I have always been Pro-choice. As a Deist- I would face any God and own my choices. Every woman I have ever known who has had an abortion was & is Christian. I call a fetus a fetus because that is what it is.

You reduce people's decisions to a joke so that you can deny the reality of their situation. This is why you don't change minds. This is why you don't even reach hearts.

Christians preach, but don't listen. Christians have always had abortions, supported abortion & they continue to now. It would have never become law without the support of the majority. It would have been career suicide for politicians and jurists as well. Even politicians who claim to be Pro-life in public have paid for the abortions of their wives, mistresses and daughters.

It isn't pregnant teens that are most likely to abort- they are young & dumb and most likely to think "things will be ok" - no, it is adult women in committed relationships (sometimes even married) who already have a child. They know exactly what they are giving up and what they cannot handle.

If you want to be on a soapbox; you need to understand the subject matter better.

Yes , it's much easier to get away from an evil man. If you don't have his child. That he could use over your head.

    Indeed.

    God help us.

"These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren." ~Proverbs 6:16-19

We Christians are all missionaries, whether online, at an assembly of Christians, on radio, TV, among family and friends, out in public or shopping when the opportunity presents itself .... whatever and wherever.

With so many missionaries you would think the world would be all Christian by now.

Why don't we stop vilifying terrorists? Just let them do
what they want and kill who they feel like killing. Must
we make them feel guilty about those car bombs and
    cutting off people's heads?

It doesn't help that so many Christians tell two gospels,
one with their mouth, and the other with their actions.
More people see the second than hear the first.

That is not true. More people, and especially young people are understanding that abortion is horrifying. The abortion rate is going down now for a whole variety of reasons, including evangelizing the message that people are people at all stages of their life.
Knowing the truth will not change anything for those who are evil, but for those who desire the good, knowing something is wrong is often enough to change their behavior on the matter.

It is...and based on the polling and feedback data, it's something that traumatizes some women and is something they never forget.

Nobody is "pro-abortion" in a sense that they think "gee, abortion is great, I want to get pregnant on purpose just because they're so much fun to have". It's an all around unpleasant experience for everyone involved.

It's a method of last resort.

That's why it's so important to support policies that have been shown to effectively reduce the unplanned pregnancy rate.
    1) comprehensive sex ed
    2) adequate social safety nets for single, soon-to-be moms
    3) make sure that women have access to birth control via both insurance for those who work, and at no cost for those who don't

The issue is that the people who complain the loudest about being against abortion, are the same ones who complain the loudest against the 3 things listed above.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

    You still will.

    Hence the warning to Christians.

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Again, the message was given to Christians: "Seeing that this is a christian forum it should be said that not a single christian on this forum can hit their knees before their Christ and justify abortion for convenience, to their God."

I have already reasoned you have been given over to a reprobate mind. My message was for those who read the post.

I understand the subject matter well: Because they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD, they would have none of my counsel, and despised my every rebuke. Therefore, they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled to the full with their own fancies.

Yeah, to a degree maybe. I definitely was not comfortable when my 9 year old niece wants to question me about transgenders and ask how she could be a boy. First off, she is 9 and still prepubescent. She should be doing kid stuff not learning about adult sexual issues. At 9, all I knew is I peed out of it, don't let people touch me there, and I was fine. A child is not even developed enough to understand these complex sexual issues.

I agree that parents should teach their children about sex, but on the same token, they will figure it out on their own. I believe some awkwardness is a good thing. I loved the fact that my daughter would be embarrassed to be naked in front of a boy. I have been told by my daughter that I helped guide her in what she should look for in appropriate affection with a man. Little things like not allowing her to sit in, or straddle my lap. She could sit beside me or on my hip and snuggle. But not on my lap, because girls don't sit in boys laps, it's not appropriate. Sometimes she would get out of the bath and go running through the house. I would lovingly, and playfully correct that. I would tell her she can't run around naked with boys in the house. Inferring to myself. Those little seeds get set. Personally, I do not feel a father has any business seeing a child naked once they are no longer in diapers. Forgive me if that sounds sexist but bath time is mommy's job. And trust me, from the age of 5-6 on she would be mortified to have allowed me to see her in her underwear, or bare chested. I think that is appropriate. Their should be that sense of modesty around men. I honestly believe little things like that do so much more than laying it all out and telling them how to have sex.

These need to be implemented in a way that the aid is proven to go to the child, and are supplemental to income earned.

Providing goods and services such as baby food, diapers, prenatal care, daycare or the like, would be more affectual in my opinion; then giving someone a stamp/card such as food stamps that can be sold on the streets for other things.

No money, vouchers, or cards. Actual products and services arranged and provided for the individual by the social net that leaves nothing tangible in the individual's hand to exploit. Unless there is a black market for diapers, and baby powder that is.

I agree with this. I would rather you not get pregnant than abort a child. However the availability may not help any. I don't know if you know this but condoms are horrible. People don't use them at times. And the other options I would not advise unless the women's know whether or not she is allergic.

Free/affordable birth control, contraceptives and comprehensive sex education will do that.

It was going down before free contraceptives.

The biggest sex education advance in the past generation is the pictures of life in utero. Young people are now able to visually see the life that is within.
Also the education has led to the abstinence trend too.

Why are today's teens putting off sex, driving, dating and drinking?

Sadly many Christians set a very bad example and do bad things. So it turns kids and young adults away. This is why Christians are losing the battle.

It really isn't about health care affordability.
If she is not a one percenter, she has at least been born with a silver spoon in her mouth.

Either way, this is all part of the horror that sees a third of each generation aborted. How Christians cannot unite to agree just how very wrong this is is something that I don't even want to understand.

Ah, so you found one extreme outlier case...I suppose that changes everything.

In other news, one person killed someone with a toaster, therefore everyone who buys toasters must have evil intentions.

My statement still stands... the exception doesn't negate the rule.

Abortion is a method of last resort and people who vote for abstinence only education, reducing safety nets, and eliminating access to free or insured contraceptive coverage don't have a sincere concern about the issue.

One nutjob with a wacky shirt doesn't change that.
